Part 8

Betty smiled before taking his hand

Betty- "I would like that Jug, but I still can't tell anyone. I can't be the slut that broke up with my boyfriend and got together with another guy a day later"

Jughead- "I get that, it's more for us"

Betty- (giggles) "I'm just happy you asked"

Jughead- "I'm happy that I asked because now I get to do this"

He cupped her cheek and kissed her. She was a little surprised but then sunk into his arms.

Betty- (smiles) "I needed that, after everything I really did"

Jughead- "I'm glad you're okay with it, I know you're not completely happy about the marriage and Archie"

Betty- "you're making it better Jug, honestly"

Jughead- "good because I'm not trying to make it worse"

Betty- (smiles) "I do think you could do that"

She leaned over and kissed her again before getting a text

Betty- "shit, it's Tab. She says my mom was Pop's asking if we had been there"

Jughead- "at least she wasn't here"

Betty- "yeah but I mad at Pop's if she finds out she could take me back there"

Jughead- "I know you're not talking about Elm street"

Betty- "Jug, I'm sorry but can you give me tonight? We can talk about it tomorrow"

Jughead- "I'm not trying to push you, but if someone hurt you then I want to know"

Betty- (smiles) "and that's why you're my knight, but it's in the past"

Jughead- "as long as you're sure Betts"

Betty- "I am Juggie, now c'mon we should get read. Veronica does not like to be kept waiting"

Jughead- "I can already tell she's not going to be my biggest fan"

Betty- "are you serious? She's going to love you"

She got off the couch and pulled him to his feet

Betty- "I'm gonna shower, you can do whatever you want"

Jughead- (chuckles) "okay then"

She went into the bathroom but it was only for a few minutes before Jughead heard her crying again.

Jughead- "Betty?"

He went to the door and knocked before slowly opening the door

Jughead- (softly) "oh Betts"

She was sitting on the counter in her bra and underwear just starring at the scars on her legs and thighs

Jughead- (softly) "who did this to you?"

Betty- (crys) "t-the sisters"

He cupped her cheek and used his thumb to wipe a tear away

Jughead- (softly) "it's okay, I've got you"

She nodded as Jughead picked her up bridal style and took her to the bed

Betty- (crys) "T-This is w-why I didn't tell you"

Jughead- (softly) "I'm sorry I pushed you"

She held on to him as he rubbed her thigh

Jughead- (softly) "you're so beautiful Betts, no one and nothing can take that away"

Betty- (crys) "I-I can't go back there"

Jughead- (softly) "I'm not going to let that happen, I promise"

He kissed her forehead before lifting her chin to face him

Jughead- "you trust me, right?"

She nodded

Jughead- "good because I'm not letting you go"

She smiled as he sat on the bed next to her

Jughead- (softly) "what did you do to have this happen?"

Betty- (sniffs) "I fought, I didn't want them to turn me into someone I'm not"

Jughead- "and that proves that these scars show how strong you are"

Betty- "y-you really think so?"

Jughead- "I know so"

Betty- (smiles) "you're amazing"

Jughead- "and so are you"
