Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, and always perseveres. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4–7

Ashleigh was happy but a part of her felt scared. As she bonded with her daughter and her fiance, she knew even though she was sure that this was what she wanted, a part of her still cared what her father thought and so she took a leap of faith and contacted him.

"Daddy!" She said as soon as her father answered the phone.

"Yes my sweet girl" He sounded happy to hear her voice, they had not spoken in months.

"Daddy I am going to marry my daughter's father" Ashleigh stuttered. She knew this could only end both ways; he was either going to accept it or they were never going to speak again. She deeply hoped for the former.

"Daddy I love him and you always said I should follow my heart"

Before she could say another word, the most miraculous thing happened.

"I love you sweet girl, and although I don't approve of that young man, people change and this is life, and it's full of mistakes"

Then he paused.

"Marry him, Ashleigh. If that's what makes you happy, then you have my blessings"

Ashleigh lifted her head to the heavens and silently thanked God for the miracle. She knew it couldn't be any other force.

In the end, love almost always wins...
