This was going to be a problem.
You had a lot of guests. A lot. And in no way did you have enough space to store all of your new friends. The solution? Another vehicle.
That night after everyone else was asleep, you all had driven for a good long while with everyone in the car. It wasn't fun.
Now, you had stopped at a rest stop near the state line entering Louisiana, and were debating what to do.
You were sat on a bench under the starry night sky - looking up at the twinkling dots above you. Diamond sat next to you smoking a joint and trying to relax. The world was moving so fast that the two of you barely had enough time to process it anymore.
Moments like this were few in number, and beyond precious.
"Maybe another car?"
Diamond turned to you and raised an eyebrow, "huh?"
"Maybe I should get another car. Have some people ride in that one so we all actually have space, y'know?"
He nodded slowly, "Sure, I guess so. I mean, I've never seen you yell at anyone as much as you do at those idiots when they leave trash in your car."
"Well, it's pretty gross, so I think I'm justified on that one."
"You are."
Silence once again filled the air. You gave a deep sigh, breathing in the warm, humid, Texas air. You'd really gotten used to all these weird events, hadn't you? You were acclimated to all of the drama that consistently befell you.
It was possible that another car would, at least in part, solve your problems. After all, you desperately needed space, and while you loved having your friends around, it was beyond stressful to handle all of them.
Diamond stood and stretched a bit, "You should go to bed."
"You go on ahead. I need a little time to clear my head, y'know?"
"'Kay. Night, Gummy Bear."
"Night, Diamond."
He nodded, and walked away, stomping out his cigarette as he went.
Once again, the world was quiet.
A ladybug landed on your finger. You flicked your hand urgently. The ladybug flew off.
You felt a little bad. It hadn't done anything to you. You shouldn't have flung it away.
And as you sat there thinking, the ladybug landed a second time on your hand.
Your skin crawled. It felt weird.
But that was okay.
You held your breath. You didn't flick your hand. The ladybug wasn't going to hurt you.
Eventually, after crawling around on your hand, it flew away. You wiped your hand on your leg and stood up. Maybe it was time to head to bed. Maybe not. Either way, you didn't want to sit with the bugs anymore.

The sun came up into the sky that morning, shining down on the occupants of the vehicle. They were awoken by a car horn honking at them. In the front seat of a black car was you. Sitting there with a grin on your face.
You climbed out of the front seat and flung open your own car's driver side door.
"Hey losers. I got another car. I don't care who gets in, but one of you needs to be able to drive, got it?"
Surprise struck across everyone's face - including Diamond's.
"You're getting to be real impulsive, huh Gummy Bear?"
"Yeah. I am. And I'm okay with that. I have the money after saving for so long, and dammit I'm gonna use the money. Now all y'all go ahead and get in. Whoever can drive, please take the front seat."
Bill was the first to move, taking shotgun. Stu followed, and took the driver's seat. Freddy decided to go with them. He liked his space.
This would be a lot easier.
All right, back on the road, yes?
***
Stu followed your car close behind - a simple feet considering there was next to no one else on the road. You were honestly impressed by how good of a driver Stu was.
Your new guests were... interesting, to say the very least. Nubbins was a bit erratic - very easily excited and energetic, but if you were quiet, he would be quiet. Choptop, however, was a bit of a handful. He never really stopped talking. It was a constant stream of chatter about music and bands. It was exhausting.
Bubba was very different from his brothers. He was incredibly quiet - only babbling incoherently to himself every once in a while. He didn't seem too interested in what the rest of the vehicle was talking about.
Norman and Diamond were discussing birds that passed by - Diamond was surprisingly enraptured by the discussion, and Norman's knowledge of such things was quite impressive. Choptop and Nubbins were shouting amongst themselves, and Bubba sat quietly looking out the window.
You were on the verge of punching someone.
It was just so loud, and it was getting hard to focus on the road in front of you. Diamond, Norman, and Bubba were no problem, but the other two made you crave silence.
"QUIET DOWN BACK THERE, PLEASE."
Despite the polite wording, the shouting most certainly caught everyone off guard. Choptop and Nubbins were silent now. Oh thank [deity].
You cleared your throat a bit and sighed, "Sorry, but that much noise makes it hard to focus on the road."
From then on, the car ride was significantly nicer.

The sun dropped low over the horizon as you pulled into the driveway at your grandparent's house. Stu parked on the shoulder of the road.
You climbed out of the car and signaled your guests to wait in their cars while you went to talk to your grandparents. The only person you brought up to the door with you was Diamond.
Your grandfather opened the door with an eyebrow raised, only to grin when he saw it was you.
"Hey Pop-pop!"
Your grandpa lifted you off the ground with a hug and laughed, "Hey there, kiddo! How are you?"
"I'm good, Pop-pop! I'm good!" You giggled and he let go of you.
"So, I see Diamond's here. Where are your other friends?"
"Oh, uhm. They're in the car. I'm probably gonna drop them at a hotel for the night, y'know?"
"Well gosh, kiddo. How many friends do you have with you?"
You paused for a second, trying to actually count.
Diamond, Freddy, Chucky, Bill, Stu, Norman, Bubba, Choptop, Nubbins. Along with Betty and your three cats, that was... 12 other living organisms? But counting the spider, pets, and living doll could cause some problems, soo... eight?
"I think, counting Diamond, I have eight other people with me?"
"Damn, that's a lotta people to be carrying along with you, kiddo. I understand the hotel thing!"
"Yeah. And I don't wanna force you to have all those people in your hou-"
Your grandpa cut you off with a hand on your shoulder and a grin, "Why don't you let 'em stay with us, huh? Scaring your friends is real fun, y'know!"
You laughed and grinned, catching on to your grandpa's evil smile, "You're gonna get along with my friends real well."

(A/N - Wow! Haven't updated in a few days now! Yikes! Well, at least I actually wrote a reasonably lengthed chapter. I was kind of out of my groove when I was writing the Texas Chainsaw Section. I'm feeling a lot more motivated writing this now that we're in a new place. I'm excited for where this is going!)
