God is real, you know
I saw her just now
Stepping down the sidewalk while it was hot
Her skin melted to the pavement
But she unstuck herself with each step
And moved foreword unscathed.
The sun seemed to rise and fall with her breathing
and my mind fluttered as she walked by
I saw God today
On that hot summers day
while my skin bubbled, hers shined
In the moment
I had only wished I were god
but now I only wish to see her again
Once more
Before dawn turns to dusk
And the pavement grows cool
