Natasha Romanoff had seen a lot of strange things during her time as an Avenger, but nothing quite prepared her for the oddball humor of her 16-year-old daughter, Y/n.

One day, Y/n was hanging out with the Avengers in the common room of their headquarters. Natasha was chatting with Steve and Tony, while Y/n lounged on the couch, scrolling through her phone.

Suddenly, Y/n piped up with a nonsensical comment that left everyone scratching their heads.

"Hey, guys, do you ever think that pineapples are just really confused oranges?" she asked, a mischievous grin on her face.

Natasha raised an eyebrow, not quite sure what to make of her daughter's oddball sense of humor. Steve and Tony just looked at each other, exchanging a confused glance.

"What do you mean?" Steve asked, trying to make sense of Y/n's comment.

"Well, think about it," Y/n continued, still grinning. "Oranges are all like, 'Hey, look at me, I'm all round and juicy and orange!' And then pineapples come along and they're all spiky and weird-looking and yellow on the inside. I mean, it's like they're trying to be something they're not, you know?"

Natasha couldn't help but chuckle at her daughter's absurd logic. Y/n had always had a way of seeing the world in her own unique way.

Tony, on the other hand, was getting frustrated. "I don't understand why you're talking about pineapples," he grumbled. "Can we talk about something that actually makes sense?"

Y/n just laughed, unfazed by Tony's irritation. "Oh, come on, Tony. Where's your sense of humor? Don't you think it's funny that pineapples are like the weird cousin of the fruit family?"

Natasha shook her head, still smiling. Y/n's sense of humor might not always make sense, but it was always good for a laugh.

"Okay, I've got one," Y/n said, jumping up from the couch. "Why did the tomato turn red?"

Everyone looked at her, waiting for the punchline.

"Because it saw the salad dressing!" Y/n exclaimed, bursting into giggles.

Natasha rolled her eyes, playfully swatting her daughter on the arm. "That was terrible," she joked.

"But it's funny because it's so bad!" Y/n protested, still giggling.

As the Avengers laughed and joked around with Y/n, Natasha couldn't help but feel grateful for the lighthearted moments like this. Even as they battled world-ending threats and protected the innocent, they could still find time to laugh and enjoy each other's company.

And who knew? Maybe Y/n's unique sense of humor was just what they needed to keep things from getting too serious.
