Chapter 12: Meeting (Part 1)

Gregory's POV:

I was reading a book on something. Then I heard a shouting and the souls were fighting again. This happened when you live in a house full of vengeful souls. Sometimes they argued and this is normal all the time. I got up and I went to see what was going on. " Guys, why are you-" then I paused. They weren't arguing, they were shouting at one of my coworkers from the government. " Mark J, what are you doing here? " I asked to him with a confused hands gesture. 

I told to the souls to calm down and they moved asides. So I can to see Mark J, " The team was so worried about you, so we kept checking if you were home or not. Where were you? " Mark J was worrying about me again. He is like my older brother and he see me as his little brother. But we are not related, we are best friends. " I was captured by Evan and his team. But me and Helpy managed to get out of there just today. I am sorry if I worried you guys, " I answered and he hugged me.

" We all thought you were killed or went missing like your family did, " like my family. I never talk about my family so often after what happened 7 years ago. " Sorry again, but I managed to killed the drug dealer. Plus, I can't get kill remember, I was immortal, inherited that from my dad. " Mark J let go of me, " I know, but at least you are okay. But I have to tell you that, your cousin is still looking for you. You know that, Evan isn't the only person you hide from. Plus we will have a meeting at 3:30 pm. You need to be there on time, " Mark J told to me, and he said his byes. Then he left, and I closed the door.

I turned around to face the souls and they all looked scared. " Next time, please call me when there is someone at the door. Now, I have a meeting with the government again, " I said with a sigh. We been having so many meetings in the last month, ever since April. I been going to meeting after meeting and after meeting in the past month. But I have to a therapy session in a few days. My wings are in pain, and I haven't changed the bandages yet. So, I went upstairs to change my bandages.

I used the rubbing alcohol and I hissed in pain. But I managed and I put some medicine on my wings. I put the new bandages on my wings, and I was looked in the mirror. It looked fine for now and I left the bathroom. I need to make some lunch the others now, I was going to make some pasta. Maybe I can use one of mom's recipes, I mean she was the best cook besides papa and dad. Papa almost set the house on fire and dad's cooking is decent. 

I took the cookbook that she had, I used to watch her cook the food. Sometimes I will help her, but with her gone. I keep the memory alive by cooking from one of her recipes. I chose the one the souls love. They loved this dish so much, and I started to boil the pasta in the water.

After I finished cooking the taco pasta, I called all the souls. " Lunch is ready, you guys, " I shouted, and they came to the diner room. They took some the pasta I cook, and I save three bowls. One for me, the second one is for Susie, the other is Sarah, she is one of the shyest souls. I went to the one place she loves to go, and I went to the backyard. She was playing with Susie, and I gave Susie her bowl. Then I gave Sarah, her bowl, " Thank you, " she said quietly, almost sounds like a whisper. We started to eat our food.

After we ate, and I wash all the bowls. I looked at the time, it was 1:00 pm. I still got some time, and I went to the basement. I need to check on some things I was working with. I saw Helpy was looking through the blueprints. I knew it was in my dad's writing. I been trying to make some the animatronic he was going to make. Before he went missing. I sighed, and I started to work on one of the animatronics. Well, I was trying to fix one, Glamrock Bonnie.

I been trying to fix him for a while. My aunt approved that I can fix him because I can fix animatronics in a few hours. For normal technician, it will takes like days. But for me, like a few hours. So, I worked on him for a bit.

I checked the time again, it was 2:09 pm. I should get ready for the meeting and I went upstairs. I looked at the mirror to see if I was dirty. But I wasn't, and I need to changed in agent uniform.

I put my jacket over my crop top. I looked at my mirror, I moved my hair that covering my blind eye. I move my hair on my eyes, and I looked at myself. I need to dye my hair when I am done with this meeting. But I saw the shock collar still on my neck, I need to take that out sooner or later. I went downstairs and I grabbed my illusion disk. I put it on, and I turned on the disk. " I am going to the meeting now, " I told the souls. They nodded, and I left the house with my phone in my pocket. I need to be careful, because Evan and his team will know I am. I walked down the street, the location where the meeting is at my other job. The café I worked at. 

I opened the door, and I saw all the window were closed. My boss Ann was gone, and Mark J and a few others were there. " Hey guys, " I greeted them, and they turned to looked at me. " Gia, you are okay. We were all worried about you, " Valentina said, and I glance at the floor for abit. Then I looked up again, " I got captured by Evan and so did Helpy. But we managed to escape in time, " I explained to them what happened to me and Helpy. " Now Evan knows what you look like, " Mark J remarked as facepalmed himself. 

" Don't worry, I will dye my hair. That will work, so what is this meeting about?"
