Chapter 24: The meadow

A few days later...

Gregory's POV:

I took some days off from work because I am very busy with so many things. Right now, I am at talking with Evan. We were at the park and everyone is scared of him, so they are running or hurrying away. No one can arrested Evan, so he was free guy. The police or the FBI can't do anything about it. " So, you said someone was staring at you when you were here? " Evan asked to me about what I said about the person was staring at me.

" Yep and they didn't stop looking at me. Until I left, so yeah, pretty much, " I answered and we kept walking. We went to the café I work at, Evan opened the door. " Hey Gia and hey Evan, " Mark J greeted us, and I smiled. Evan was rolling his eyes and staring down on Mark J. But Mark J stayed positive. " So how are you two lovebirds? " Mark J asked to us, and I slightly blush. 

" We are okay and we were wondering if we can get some coffee. So Evan, what do you want? " I asked to him, " Black coffee like my soul, " Evan answered and Mark J looked a bit terrified. I knew this will happened and I facepalmed myself. " I will have an ice coffee, MJ, " I said and I payed for it. Then we both sit down, " You know you don't to always stare people down, Ev, " I told to him and he looked at me.

" I know, but it's normal to me. Even though after I died from the bite of 83', I been like the same person you knew from 900 years ago. Well, to everyone I am cold person and emotionless. But when I met you, everything changed, " Evan said, and I smiled. " Aww, thanks Evan, " I thanked him.

" Maybe we could go to the meadow you loved, " Evan suggested, I loved the meadow so much. I really did and I smiled. " Sure, but how are we going to get there? " I asked to Evan and he looked at me with smile. " Teleportation, of course, " Evan said, but my teleportation powers can go very far. Plus, if I have to use it, I need to get the right coordinates. Then we got our coffees and drank it. Then we left the shop, and I brought up the meadow. 

" Okay, but I need to get it right. You know how powerful my powers are, " I said to him with crossed arms. " Okay, hold my hand, " Evan told to me and I looked at him. I took his hand and instant we were in the meadow. I remember this meadow, it was near the palace from my past life. I missed this place and I saw the butterflies and animals playing around. This meadow always been my favorite place before the war of 400 years ago. 

I used my life ability to make some flowers. " You still have the same personality I knew, " Evan observed and he was right. I love to going to this meadow because it was beautiful and colourful. It was always surrounded by forest. " I really missed this place, I haven't been here for 7 years after my family went missing. They went missing here, " I told to Evan, and he looked at me. Then a bird landed on my shoulder and I glanced at it. It was nightingale, but it was purple, black, and some hind of silver. 

" It's so beautiful, " I complimented to the bird. " It is, it is a rare nightingale." Evan was right, it is an rare one. I saw there was something in it's mouth and I put my hand out. Then it dropped it in my palm and I looked what it was. It was another crystal shard and the nightingale flew off. I went to Evan and I gave him the shard. " Another piece to the crystal, I wondered what happened to your crystal on your nape, " Evan said as he gestured me to turn around. I turned around and Evan put the piece back into place.

" And there, that should be fixed, " Evan said and I turned around. I faced him and he was really close to me. I started to blushed a bit, he looked at me and he smirked. " You okay, darling~" Evan purred and I was blushing really hard. I covered my face with one of my hands. Evan laughed and he took my hand from my face. " Aww~ come on, I like when you blush, darling~. You looked really cute, " Evan flirted with me and I was blushing really hard this. 

" Evannnnn, I am going to kick you in my shin, " I shouted at him with anger and he kept laughing. " You look cute when you are mad, " and that's it. I kicked him in the shin, and he let go of my hand. " Oww, Gia, you know I am joking, " Evan said, and I was sort of mad. But I wasn't that mad. 

" I know, you have the same flirting personality like in our past life. If though, I broke your cold heart, you are so much a flirt, " I said as I crossed my arms. 

" Okay, that's true, love. But you are mine still, " Evan pointed out, and I rolled my eyes. I still have the mark on my neck, the mark means I am owned by an bloodlust. But Evan isn't any bloodlust. He is the leader of bloodlusts, and I knew that, everyone knew that. But I am leader of the pure souls, well what's left of them. Most of them are in hiding like me, and we are hidden from the world. We like to be hidden, so we take governmental jobs. 

" Do you have any missions for the week? " Evan asked to me, and I shook my head no. Then I remember the mission was doing. " The agency will be mad, " I said with worried tone. " Don't worry about it, " Evan assured me. " Don't worry about it? What do you mean? " I asked to him with concerned tone. " Oh, we told the agency and the government about this test. We thought we could test about how much you are willing to do it, " Evan explained and I was flabbergasted. " You little fucking idiot, " I said and Evan laughed at me.

" We should get back, you know that right. They might be worried about you."
