Chapter 22: The test

Gregory's POV:

I just finished my night shift, but I have to work again because of the mission. Fuckkkkkkk. I sighed, and I changed my clothes. Then I lay down on my bed and I need my fucking sleep. So much being an insomniac. I closed my eyes and I went to sleep.

I opened my eyes, but this time. I was in another vision, the meadow. I was in the meadow with my family. This is when the disappearance happened, but why don't I remember it? I started to wondered since my session with my therapist. I looked at the vision and I saw the past me was talking about the meadow. I love the meadow as a child and my past life. 

Then I saw we all saw a shadow. But why does that shadow looked familiar? I asked if I could follow it, but my family didn't want me to get hurt. Evan said he will stay with me. Then the vision went black. 

" This what happened when you try to see your deepest memories you don't remember, " I heard Ivory told me by behind. I turned around, " Hi, Ivory, " I told to her and she smiled. Then we were back at the meadow we always meet at. " Your mindscape been trying to see this memories for years, until Evan managed to unlocked with that shard of yours. But you know what happened, you are the only one who can know what happened. Maybe something can trigger it, " Ivory suggested.

She is right, well, she is very intelligent. But I have my father's intelligent, and I don't know what I can do. " But I need to do this mission, you know that right, " I told to her, and she looked at me. " I know, you don't have to do it. But my own hated towards Alexander have been weaken, but it is your hated that rise. "

Wait, that's means my hated is now rising. " But how is that possible? " I asked to her, and she looked at me. " Because the way you sound when Vince was talking to you about Evan. But if you wish to kill them, that is fine with me, " Ivory answered, and I guess I am willing to kill him. That's means I will kill Alexander as well. But I have to do what they request me to do. I never turn down a mission, not even once since my family went missing. I been working with the government since I was 14. I only turn down the mission when my family was still around. But now, I don't do that anymore. 

" You can turn down the mission, if you want, " Ivory suggested, she is right. But I can't.

" I never back down a mission, I never do that anymore. That is when my family was still around."

" Okay, but you will wake up soon."

Then I woke up and I got out of back. Then I changed my clothes and I looked at the time. I saw it was 1:09 pm. I took my uniform jacket from the chair. Then I put up the syringe filled with poison. A part of me want me to kill him, but the other part doesn't want to. But I have to, for the team.

I was walking to the facility, Evan let come there when I wanted to. I had my disk on me and it was on. I entered the mansion and I saw some guards looked at me. But I ignored them and I went to find Evan's office. I saw the office across from Evan's, and I realized it was the assistant. I knocked on the door and the assistant opened it. " Hello, what can I do for you? " She asked, " I am here to see Evan, " I answered and she looked scared. I knew everyone was scared of Evan.

" S-sure, you can. But he is a bit busy, are you sure do you want me to tell him you are here? " She asked to me and I shook my head no. She understood and she closed her door. I went the other door across the hall. I went invisible and I opened the door very quietly. I saw Evan was on the phone with someone and I pulled out the syringe. 

I took a deep breath and this ends now. His back was at me and I turned visible. I walked very slowly and I have to get this mission done. I walked around the desk and I had my hand over my head. Then I about to swung the syringe into Evan's neck. But Evan spun around and he caught my wrist. " Look like I have to end the call, " he said to the phone and then he hung up.

" You really did believe that, did you? Look like you failed the test, " Evan said and I was confused. What test? This was all an act? I am very confused here, " Vince help me with this, darling. I can't believe, that you really did changed. I know I didn't mean to leave you, I just want to know how much I affect you. Plus that isn't poison, it is the same substance I used to knock you out, " Evan explained, and he took the syringe from my hand.

He let go of my wrist, and he grabbed my waist. He pulled me closer to him, " I would give you an punishment, but I don't feel like to. But I will give you a little punishment, " Evan smiled and I was blushing really hard. He slammed his lips against mine and I was shocked at first. I melt into the kiss and Evan was a little rough. 

Then I pulled away because I needed to breath, and I looked at Evan. He looked at me with a smile, " I am going to take the collar off of you, " Evan said, and he reach for the collar around my neck. He took it off and he toss it on his desk. " Now, where were we? " Evan looked at me, and I was blushing again.

He lifted up my chin with his hand. He licked my neck and then he bite into my skin. I knew this is not going to end well.
