Chapter 13: Meeting (Part 2)

Gregory's POV:

" It is about your family's disappearance, " Mark J answered, and I was shocked and widened eyed. " Mark, you know that we never talk about Gregory's family's disappearance. He is sensitive to that, " Belle scolded Mark J, and I sighed. I broke the fight between them, " It's okay, Belle. I wanted to know what happened to my family for a while. You know that, " I calmed her down. Then we all sat down, and Mark J and I made some coffee.

Ann let us use the café for meeting like this, " We need to wait for the government agent to arrive, " and we talked about our lives. I was looking at the window, I mean the window are covered. But I looked through the part where there was light. I looked at the window, and I was thinking about. About my family's disappearance, Fable's death and I was left for dead by Evan. Then, " IVORY, " I jumped a bit. I was breathing heavily, " We didn't mean to call you by your past life's name. But we were calling you, " Valentina said with a worried voice.

" S-sorry, I zoned out for a bit, " I apologized to them, " What were you asking? " They looked at me, " We ask how was your life, " Belle answered. "Oh," I didn't know what to said at all. " You know my life guys. I worked as barista and night technician and night security guard. You know that, and oh I take care of the souls, " I answered, and they looked at me with confused looked on their faces.

" We mean, are you okay? Because you are mental ill since you were 11 years old, Gia, " Valentina remarked, and I sighed. " Don't worry about me, guys. I know you three are worried about me. But I am fine, plus I have therapy in a few days. I don't know how long will my mental illnesses will go away. But I am fine, I mean I know you all care about me. I don't want you worried, guys, " I explained to them, and then we heard the door opened. Then we all turned our heads, it was government agent. 

They were here already, " So, this is all of you? " They asked to us, " No, the rest is busy with other things, " Belle answered as the agent sat down beside her. " That's okay because this meeting is indeed about Gregory's family disappearance. We just got information about your family's disappearance, Agent Fox, " The agent tell to me, and I took some deep breaths. " What did you find? " I asked in a concerned voice. " Well, we found out their last location and who was the witness. Which is weird, you said you stayed behind with your adopted sister, Fable, right? " The agent asked to me, and I nodded.

They sighed, " This is not the best news, but, it's turn out you did went with them. You were the witness what caused your family's disappearance, " they answered, and I was stunned and shocked. How is this possible? " But how is this possible? But I stayed behind with my sister, " I asked to them, and they sighed. " Apparently, you lost your memories of that day. Because someone saved you from being missing. They tried to save your family, but they failed. The disappearance of your family is in your mind. We wish we knew how to make you remember, but someone is causing you not to remember, Agent Fox. But all we have of the site of the disappearance is this, " the agent handed me, a crystal shard.

" This is all for today, and agents, great work on the drug dealer mission, " the agent got up and they left. " That was great!"

I left the café and I held the shard in my hand. I looked at it as I was walking to the hair salon. I was the last witness, but why can't I remember? I put the shard in my pocket, and I entered the hair salon. " Oh well hello, Gia. What can we do for you? " The hair stylist asked to me. " I just want to dye the ends of my hair, " I answered, and she gestured me to the chair. " What color? Purple like your father or what color?" She asked, " Maybe blue, because my mom loves the color blue. It will remind me of her, " I answered, and she nodded, then she got started with dying my hair.

After two hours, I payed for the amount. I waved bye to her, and I went home. I was walking hoe, then I heard some motorcycles. I turned to see where it was coming from, and I realized it was the mafia. I need to walk slow and with my new look they won't recognize me. I was walking as slow as possible, as they passed by. I stayed calm as possible, they left. I sighed in relief, I guess Evan found out we escaped. Now, we have to stay hidden for a while.

Then I will convince the government to arrest that fucking idiot into prison. 

Evan's POV:

After I sent my men to find them, I was so pissed. Then one of them came back, and they explained they can't find Gregory and Helpy. I slammed both of my hands onto the table, " What do you mean you can't find them? " I snapped at them, and they were scared. Everyone is scared of me, but I don't care. " W-well, t-they are hard to f-find. P-plus we looked everywhere in the town. P-please d-don't kill me, " they stammered, and I had my loaded gun in my hand. " Give me one reason I should let you live, " I asked to them, and I looked at them.

" W-well, I-I have a family, " they lied, but I can see through people's lies. " Liar, " I said, and I shot them in the head. They dropped dead onto the ground, I saw my assistant witnessed the whole thing. " Get someone to clean the body, NOW, " I ordered, then she ran out the room. " Why are you making this so difficile, Ivory? " I whispered to myself, once I get my hands on you, Ivory.

I have plans to stop you from escaping. Then I saw some the guards clean up the body, and I need to calm down.
