Chapter 15: Oh no...

The next day...

Gregory' POV:

" So, you kicked their asses right? " Sarah asked to me with a soft voice, and I nodded. " Yep, at least I saved the old dude. He did need some help, " I smiled at her. She beamed at me, but I need to go to work soon. " I have to go to work again, " I told to the souls. They groaned, " Why do you have to leave? " They all said, " I have to, plus we need the money to pay the bills, " I explained to them, and I got. 

" Charlie is in charge, " I told every last souls, they nodded. I smiled a bit, and I opened the door, then I locked it. Then I went to the café, and I got to the shop on time as usual. I saw Ann was taking orders, " Hey Ann, " I greeted her, and she smiled at me as greeting. I went to the locker room and I put my stuff in there. Then I put on my apron, and I tied the back. I went to the storefront to take the orders.

I was taking orders from people, and Ann looked at me with strange expression. " Why aren't you covering your eye? " She asked to me with strange look on her face. " He found out, " I answered, and she gasped. " This is bad, but at least you dyed your hair and uncovered your eye, " she smiled. I smiled bac and our other co-workers came. I saw Mark J, " Hey MJ, " I greeted to Mark J, " Hey Gia, " he greeted back.

I kept taking the orders and making the orders for each person who came here. I was making a mocha for someone, and then someone grabbed my shoulder. I looked up, I saw it was Ann. " Can you came with me to get the coffee beans in the back, Gia? " She asked in nervous voice and I was confused why was she nervous. I nodded, and she took my hand. I left the mocha on the counter and she pulled me to the back. " * Sigh * Evan and his team is here." She said, and I was shocked, " But how? They rarely come here, " I asked to her, and she sighed. I was breath shakily, " You stay here to get some coffee beans for the shop, " Ann ordered me, and I nodded. 

I need to stay here for a bit, and I need to look for the coffee beans. This might take a while because we have a lot of coffee beans. She didn't said which one to get, but I knew she had a list if she didn't tell us what kind of coffee beans. I found the clipboard with the lists of coffee beans, and I looked for the one we need at the storefront. I scanned through the list and I saw that we need some dark roast beans. That is on other side of the storage, and as I was walking to the other side of the storage room.

I heard some gunshots and fighting and yelling. Oh no, this isn't good. I will stay here a bit longer than expected. I need to find the dark roast beans, I mean before I came here. The storage was really messy, then I had rearranged all the shelves. But I mean it just took me like 3 hours. 

I was looking for the beans, then I heard a clank. " Hello? " I shouted as I turned around, and I guess there is no one here. As I turned back, I saw Evan. Shit, good thing I always carry a dagger or a gun. I pulled out my dagger this time, the dagger that belonged to Eliza before she gave it to me. 

" What do you want? " I snarled at him, " Oh, well, Gia or should I say Gregory? You think you can keep hiding, but I am more intelligent than you. You may have your dad's intelligent, but I am always one step ahead, " Evan said, and I used my dagger to tried to stabbed him. But he dodged it, he was always like this. I attacked him again, but he grabbed my wrist, the one with the dagger. " Let go of me, " I gritted my teeth, but he may be smarter. But I always know how to get out of these situations.

I kicked him in the shin, and he let go of my wrist. Then I bolted as fast as I can, and I passed a lot of the shelves. I need to get out of here, and I kept running. But I stopped because there was no place to run anymore, I held my dagger in my hand. I felt a shadow over loom me, and I turned around in time. Then I attacked the person behind me, but I felt something shock me.

Then I dropped the dagger and I fell onto the floor. I looked up and I saw it was Evan. I tried to pick up my dagger, but Evan took it off the floor. " Give. That. Back, " I demanded, but I felt I was electrocuted. Evan looked down at me, and then at the handled of the dagger. I realized why he was looking at the handled. I put the crystal shade on the dagger a few days back.

Evan plucked it off the dagger, and he dropped it. Then I didn't feel I wasn't electrocuted anymore. I tried to stand, but I used the shelf near me to get up. " What do you want from me? " I asked to Evan and he smiled at me. He grabbed me by my wrist, and I tried to pulled away. " You need to stop fighting me, " Evan told to me, and I am not listening to him. After he did, after all the things he did.

" Why should I listen to you? Your men killed my sister, you promised to help me, but you gave up, " I demanded as tears rolled down my face. Evan looked at me, and he spun me around. Then I felt something was slapped onto my neck, and I realized it was crystal shade. He pushed me at the wall behind me, " What did you-" " I put back the shade back where it was. No one never told you because there was a crystal implanted into you since you were 11, " he cut me off.

But what crystal, " The crystal on the back of your neck was there, you never notice it. That same crystal save your life when your family went missing, " Evan explained to me, " But why couldn't I remember? " I asked to Evan and he closed his eyes for a bit. Then he opened his eyes, " Because, you didn't want to remember about that day. The crystal didn't want you to have more trauma, because you have a lot of trauma."
