I STOOD NEXT TO GRAHAM AS I KEPT LOOKING if ben and mandy showed up. i wanted to make sure they would actually show up for something for once instead of just dressing up and then deciding to stay home but i slowly started to give up which made me realize i needed to ask graham something.

"so we're boyfriend and girlfriend?" i asked him, wondering if when he responded to mandys question was true or not, "not trying to be rude or anything we just never talked about it" i said quickly.

"just wanted to put it out there but if you don't want to then it's fine" he replied.

"no, no! i want to, i really do!" i said as we both smiled.

he put out his hand for me took take which i did and we went to dance. i looked to my sides a couple times and finally noticed mandy and ben.

"hey, i'll be back really quickly" i told graham as i ran towards mandy and ben.

"i feel like we should just go" he says as i see the sad look on mandys face as she saw liam dancing with someone that is not her.

"if you guys are here then your here, you guys are the stars and they are all nobodies" i said as mandy nodded.

"we should probably go . . . but we are not going to" she said, grabbing bens hand and dragging him to the dance floor as i ran to graham to go back to dancing with him.

sooner or later the principal took the mic so then he could announce prom king and queen. me and mandy planned this whole entire thing so then ben got prom king and latoya got prom queen so then everything would be right between them once again, i'm just hoping it works at this point because if it doesn't then why did i do all of this in the first place?

". . . and your prom queen is latoya reynolds" he said as everyone started cheering while latoya made her way to the stage, putting on the crown, "your prom king is ben plunkett" the principal said unsurely as everyone around was also confused.

"yes! finally!" i whispered, "i did not go through all the things i did today just for him not to get prom king! go ben!" i said quietly.

latoya and ben stood there awkwardly as i dragged graham all the way to where mandy was standing.

"we did it" she said as we both fist bumped.

"we are making magic happen" i said proudly.

"i don't think you are" graham said to me.

"if i think we are then we are" i responded to him.

ben and latoya started dancing which made me and mandy jump up and down. we are pretty evil when we connect our minds if i'm honest.

"i think someone is asking you to slow dance" mandy whispered in my ear which made me look at her.

"what?" i said as i looked at her and then at graham who grabbed my hand.

"wanna dance?" he asked as i put my arms around his shoulders and we did.

"you know what? no" ben said as i let go of graham.

"what is going on?" mandy asked.

"check mate" i said happily.

"this isn't chess, taylor" she said as i nodded.

"i know but he's going to do something that is worth it, trust me" i said as i placed my head on grahams shoulder.

"no, that's what i've done with school, and work, my entire life, because i've been afraid of basically this exact scenario but screw it! this is my life, and i am not gonna let it pass me by. I AM NO NUTS PLUNKETT! and i am prom king, and i am dancing with the girl of my dreams and i wanna kiss her now" he said as everyone awed.

"you should've just kissed me" latoya said, kissing ben which made me and mandy squeal and jump around over and over.

"you're weird" graham commented which made me and mandy stop.

"good weird or bad weird?" i asked as i got close to him.

"definitely good weird" he said as he kissed me, two kisses in a night. first ben now me. but if i'm honest bens more perfect.

i know graham is my date for the dance but i told him to be with his friends for a little as me and mandy talked to ms. chen. she is the one that helped us with the votes to let ben win prom king in the first place and we could never be more grateful. after that i decided to bring mandy to latoya and ben.

". . . we did not just go through hell for you to give up on harvard. please check your phone, check your phone right now!" ben said to mandy as i nudged her.

"no i-" mandy started to say but she was cut off.

"as king and queen of this prom, we demand you to get out your damn phone" latoya said confidently.

"okay" mandy said as she took out her phone.

"i know i've always liked you for a reason, latoya" i said to her as she smiled at me.

"your pretty cool, tay" she said as i was shocked since she called me by my nickname.

mandy had a smile appear on her face as i looked over to see accepted written on her application which made me, ben and mandy smile like crazy. the fact that we hugged for probably longer than 3 minutes is insane ( we only hug for like 30 seconds ).

"okay, you three are a lot but i'm here for it. lets celebrate" latoya said as all four of us went to celebrate.

when the prom ended i talked graham ear off but he didn't seem to care. i mentioned how it was great to be there and not feel anxious for once, how ben and latoya are now a thing, how i'm going to columbia university and how mandy got into harvard. everything seemed to work out the way we wanted it to.
