The whole group was at a bar, Steve was recruiting men to go back out there and find the rest of the Hydra bases. To finally put a stop to all this. Emilia was running late, catching up with Peggy. When she walked in she saw Bucky and Steve talking at the bar.

"See? Told you, they're all idiots." Bucky said with a laugh. He finished off his whiskey as the two talked.

Steve moved to sit down beside him. "How about you? You ready to follow Captian America into the jaws of death?" He asked.

Bucky let out a quiet laugh. "Hell, no." He said. Emilia let out a sigh in relief, she moved to join the men when Bucky continued.

"That little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him." Bucky said confidently, offering a half smile to Steve.

Emilia felt her heart break, she cleared her throat, making both men turn around to face her. "You promised." She said with a sigh, walking away from the two.

"Shit." Bucky mumbled. He jumped up from his seat, following Emilia out of the bar. "Em, wait." He called out. He jogged to catch up to Emilia.

"No! What happened to Brooklyn? We barely made it out alive the first time, and you want to go back? Willingly? Are you insane?" Emilia argued on the sidewalk.

Bucky sighed, closing the distance between the two. But Emilia stepped back, crossing her arms tightly across her chest. "I can't let Steve go out there alone." He said calmly.

Emilia scoffed, rolling her eyes at him. "And what about me? You're leaving me alone." She argued.

Bucky took another step forward, reaching out for Emilia. "I'm not. You're still here, I just have to postpone Brooklyn." He answered. "Just for a little while, you'll see, we'll pick up where we left off."

"You can't know that, getting out alive the first time was a fluke. You can't promise me you'll make it out again. James.. I don't want to abandon our life." Emilia said, wiping a tear off of her cheek.

Bucky grabbed ahold of Emilia, pulling her into his chest. He kept both arms firmly around her, but she kept her arms crossed tightly. "We're not. I was right the first time, we got out, I'll be right again. You'll see. You'll go back home and tell your folks that your husband is a war hero, they'll eat it up." He joked, smiling down at Emilia.

Emilia finally relaxed, wrapping her arms loosely around his neck. "I don't remember being given a ring, Sargeant Barnes." She teased. Bucky gave her a charming laugh, leaning down until he could brush his lips across hers. Emilia tightened her grip on Bucky, their lips moving in sync as she pulled herself as closley to him as she could manage.

When Bucky finally broke the kiss, he rested his forehead against hers, closing his eyes as they both caught their breath. "I didn't think you'd accept if I did." He admitted.

Emilia let out a quiet laugh, pulling her face back from Bucky's to stare up at him. "You're right, I wouldn't. Not until this is over." She answered confidently.

Bucky pressed his lips against hers again, smiling afterwards. "Then I better hurry the hell up. Can't leave a beautiful dame like yourself without a ring for too long, someone else will come sweep you off your feet." He answered.

Emilia rolled her eyes playfully, slapping his chest. "I don't want anyone else, Sargeant Barnes." She answered.

"I'm not taking any chances." Bucky said, shrugging his shoulders casually. "Come dance with me, doll. Before I have to go back out there tomorrow." He pleaded.

Emilia stared up at him with a heartbreaking stare, nodding in agreement. She was furious he wanted to go back out into battle, but she understood. She couldn't be selfish, but she wished she could. The two walked back inside together, ignoring the glances from the other soldiers. She assumed they heard her yelling.
