Eight Years Later.

Bucky made his way downstairs, smiling when he saw Emilia sitting on the couch with her laptop in her lap and their children sprawled out on the floor coloring.

Alice and Lillian, the 8 year old twins, were both coloring from the same coloring book. Hilariously enough, it was a coloring book of World War 2 and The Howling Commandos. A gag gift from Maddison, one that the twins ended up falling in love with because their daddy and uncle Steve were featured so heavily.

Georgia Marie, their 5 year old, was coloring in some princess book. She had her feet kicked up onto her older sisters legs and was using a couch pillow to prop her book up.

Lastly, Candice Jillian, their 2 year old. She was playing with some special coloring book where the crayons can only draw on the book itself and not the walls. An unfortunate lesson the family was forced to learn after Georgia drew all over the kitchen cabinets when she was younger.

Bucky made his way around the couch, kissing his wife on the forehead before settling down next to her. "How's the book coming?" He asked curiously.

Emilia was still the head of oncology at the hospital, but she was determined to start and finish a book of her own. It was the dream she had since she was a little girl, the dream Bucky was determined to help her accomplish. He would distract the girls whenever necessary, take them out for the day if needed, or just rub her tense shoulders while she worked. He was more than happy to proofread anything and even bounce ideas around with her, whatever she needed. Anything to make her dreams come true.

Emilia sighed, closing the laptop and sitting it on the coffee table. She curled her legs up onto the couch and leaned into her husband's side. "I'm stuck." She whined.

Bucky chuckled at that, wrapping his arms around her tightly and kissing her forehead. "How can I help? Do you need me to take the girls out of the house?" He offered. Being a stay at home dad gave him the luxury of doing whatever he needed to help his family. It gave him the freedom to be the best husband and father he could possibly be. Plus, it wasn't practical for them both to work when they had 4 girls to look after, and they had more money than they'd ever need anyway. So why make the girls spend time with babysitters when they are capable of coming up with a solution on their own.

Emilia wrapped an arm around his torso, shaking her head no. "No, it's date night, remember? Steve and Maddie should be here soon." She mentioned.

Once a month, Emilia and Bucky would host a sleepover with Steve and Maddison's daughters. It gave them the night alone to do anything they could possibly want. Sure, it got hectic in the house with their 4 daughters and Steve and Maddison's 4 daughters. But it was a fun evening every month, and everyone in both families looked forward to it.

Obviously, it wasn't one-sided. Once a month, Steve and Maddison would host a sleepover as well, taking Emilia and Bucky's girls for the night so they could have the same uninterrupted time alone.

It was an amazing arrangement. it was even better that the kids all grew up as family.

Avery, Loralei, Emery, and Juliette. Steve and Maddison's daughters all looked at Bucky and Emilia as their uncle and aunt, as well as their daughters were their cousins. They'd all grown up so close, seeing each other several times a week on top of the twice a month sleepovers.

They were one massive, beautiful family.

Bucky nodded at that, kissing Emilia's temple lightly. "I forgot it was sleepover night. I need to pull the sleepover bed out and order the takeout ahead of time. Thank you for reminding me." He said. Usually, they'd do an outside activity or go somewhere fun before they'd spend the night at their house, but it was a little too chilly for outdoor activities. So he'd have to come up with something inside to entertain 8 little girls.
