I told yall this didn't follow the MCU, so I don't even want to hear how it's not accurate 😂

Chaos. That's all they could describe what was happening in front of them. Pure and utter chaos.

Thanos' army stormed into Wakanda like they were on a destructive mission. They were after the mind stone, they were after Vision. Shuri was doing her best to get the stone out of Vision without killing him, but these things took time. Or so she said, neither Bucky nor Steve knew anything about that. They just knew they had to keep this army away from him as long as possible. Sounds easy enough, but they came with a whole out army. Men, monsters, ships, weapons. The whole 9 yards, they came to die if they needed to.

All the tribes of Wakanda came together to protect them, to protect Vision. It would've been pretty remarkable if it wasn't for the whole "possibly the end of the world" thing. That seemed to bring people together pretty well.

Steve, Nat, and T'Challa headed towards the edge of the dome. In some kind of attempt to get them to give up, every single person standing there knew that wasn't going to happen. But Steve, being the optimist he is, they still tried. "They surrender?" Bucky asked, somewhat sarcastically. He knew the answer to that before he even asked, of course they didn't. They didn't come this far to give up. Who even knew how many stones they had left to collect. For all they knew, this could be the final stone Thanos needed. That thought made Bucky sick, that this Thanos could be so close to possibly snapping away his wife and babies, or even himself or Steve. They couldn't let that happen.

"Not exactly." Steve said with a sigh.

Creatures stormed the dome by the dozens, clawing at the forcefield. Willingly tearing themselves apart in an attempt to get past the barrier, some even made their way through. In pieces, but they made it. Limbs, torsos, heads shoved through the barrier. Somehow, even just a few full creatures made it in, despite the piles of scattered pieces of their own army littering the floor. The group shot the ones that made it through. Luckily, there weren't many yet. But Thanos seemed to have a pretty unlimited supply of these creatures, willing to kill themselves for the chance of getting through.

"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us. There's nothing between them and Vision." Bruce said through the comms.

"Then we better keep them in front of us." Steve said, as if that was a simple solution. He watched the creatures ripping themselves apart, the ones that made it past be shot down pretty quickly.

"How do we do that?" Okoye asked, looking to T'Challa for answers. He seemed to think for only a minute before knowing his answer, or he just didn't want to say it. Didn't want what they had to do to be true. "We open the barrier." He answered, finally.

The plan was to open a small portion of the barrier, make the creatures come into the limited amount of space they were given. Trick them to trickle into the battlefield a few less at a time, letting the team and the Wakandan's pick them off in smaller batches. It was a solid plan if these creatures weren't so unpredictable. Hopefully, it worked.

The plan did work, and the creatures gave up trying to shred the barrier and took full advantage of the small opening they were given. They funneled in like a bat out if hell, reckless and insane. Bucky sprinted towards them alongside Steve, guns ready and ready to fight. He had Emilia on his mind. This was for her. Anything that happened to him would be to promise that she was okay. Her and his girls had to be okay.

The creatures quickly surrounded them, everyone caught up in keeping their own asses alive. Steve jumped right in alongside T'Challa, Bucky was right behind. He'd shot so many he'd lost count, covered in a layer of sweat and alien blood, but he kept going. He ran through the chaos, taking out as many as he could, attempting to keep an eye out for his fellow fighters. But there was too much to keep an eye on, too many creatures, too many people. He'd even been knocked on his ass by one when he was scanning his surroundings to make sure everyone was safe. But between the vibranium arm, his training, and his stubbornness to refuse to leave Emilia alone. He was able to kill the creature with his bare hands, throwing its corpse to the side before grabbing his gun and jumping up. There was no time to look out for each other. They just had to pray everyone made it out of this.
