Making our way through the crowded area, dodging people and tables we head over to the sitting area on our far right which is indoors where there are fewer people and tables and also has brightly colored walls. This is probably where people sit if they cant get a table closer to the stage. Making sure to stick to the side, we slowly make our way across the room carefully examining each table.

With no sign of anyone l check their socials again and it seems that they are still here so we have to check somewhere else.

Moving towards the left side of the room we walk in the passage way which leads us to the undercover sitting passing two security guards guarding a door and a mini kitchen-butchery.

On our left there is a passage way leading to the bathrooms, noticing it, Carmen announces that she has to go and Sisipho also needs to go and because I do not want us to get separated l head in with them.

Currently waiting on the side waiting for my friends to come out, by the door there is a long line of people waiting for their turn.

Gazing down at my phone, checking the time for the hundredth time and also to see if he is online but he hasnt been since the last time. More than seven minutes have passed and they still have not come out.

Taping my foot impatiently, different scenarios start running through my mind.

What if one of his friends wants to takes pictures with his phone and when they want to send it to themselves they stumble upon my message, then my wh-.

Ah hahhha.

The sound of laughter cuts me off from my thoughts. I dont even have to see her to recognize her voice, that high pitched annoying voice could only belong to one person.

Her laughter is joined by others and now l can clearly hear them talking. The fourth stale on my far right beings to open and the sound of their voices becomes louder. Shit! They are going to see me.

Luckily for me the person in the stale right next to me opens up, exiting. Not even sparing a second, l quickly get in. From outside l can hear people complaining, saying l was not in the line but l do not care about them. I can hear them laughing at something else while they fix themselves in front of the mirror, l just hope my friends do not come out while they are still here. A few seconds later the sound of their voices becomes less and less until they can be heard no more. They must have left.

Getting out of the stale, I stare at the entrance in shock when suddenly an idea pops in my mind.

Looking back at the stales, still seeing no movement I decide to leave them behind exiting the toilets. I cannot wait for them because l might not catch up in time. Quickly, l look around trying to see if l can spot any of them from this large crowd. On my far right l spot Awandes huge afro and I follow behind them.

They enter through the doors where two guards are stationed, the one we passed earlier. Stopping in my tracks I try devising a plan on how l can get past them.

I remember, l once asked my sister how she became so popular and she said if you walk and act like you being, no one will question you and people will treat you like you belong.

Reaching into my bag, l take out a pair of sunglasses, placing them on top of the ones l am already wearing. Straightening my posture with my shoulders back, l lift up my chin making my way towards them.

Wait Up Awande! You guys are always leaving me behind, l say loudly walking past the guards not even spearing them a second glance. Once past them l take off the sunglasses placing them back inside because this stairway is not bright enough. Quickly l make my way up the stairs in case they change their mind for some reason.
