Emihle! Thats not how you chop an onion, a frustrated Carmen yells.

How am l supposed to know, she yells back dropping the knife on the chopping board making her way over the counter to sit next to Raven.

How is it that your mother is such an excellent cook and yet you suck? Megan asks.

Well perks of having an Indian mom is she hates explaining things more than once, then she just does it herself, she replies taking out her phone and going on the Uber Foods app. You see the power of one small app, order whatever you want and it will be there in a few minutes. No physical labor required; no electricity wasted and most importantly no dishes, she says waving around her phone.

I conquer, Sisipho adds and Carmen gives her a side glare.

I think so too, besides you cooked last night when there was no need. Im tired. Megan also agrees.

Carmen is obsessed with healthy eating so last night we had veggies and today she is also trying to stuff us with more.

After a not so anonymous vote we ended up ordering Steers while Carmen decides to give us a lecture about healthy living hoping we would decide against our decision.

We spend most of the morning and beginning of the afternoon lazing around the pool at the back, enjoying the silence because we know in sometime there will be a lot of groaning. Last night the twins and their friends went out clubbing and they only arrived around four in the morning. I had to get up and help because some of them where so out of it that they could not even tell the difference between a pot plant and a toilet, just to say I had a very traumatizing morning.

Dont even think about it, l warn Megan concerned because of the way her gaze is so fixed on the fish in the water.

What?

Are you forgetting l know you very well. I can see the way you are looking at those fish.

I was having the best dream ever last night when they ruined it. I shake my head in disapproval. It is still not a good enough reason to let her do what she wants to do.

Someone even vomited on my hand, she persists.

What you want to do would involve killing the fish.

My hand still smells no matter how many time l wash it, she persists waving her hand in the air for us to see. Magen shoves her hand in Jessicas face for her to smell but she dodges just in time.

Come on, give them a free pass its their birthday.

Ahhh? How are you guys outside, the sun is literally blinding. My brother asks us with his right hand shielding his eyes as he makes his way over to us.

We needed fresh air Megan replies placing emphases on her hand.

To watch the fish, Raven adds.

Darcy looks at us if as if we are a nuances he cannot get rid of. He rubes his forehead with his other hand, probably has a splitting headache.

Were not responsible for your hangover. Any way what do you want?

Nothing, when l couldnt see you around the house l thought you idiots had done something wrong, he says trying to pass off as passive which makes me smile.

Wait, could it been that you were actually worried about us? ...You were worried about your sister, giving the loudest gasp as if l just had a sudden realization.

Annoying, he whispers not spearing us a second glance and returning back to the house.

An idea pops up in my mind and a smile slowly creeps its way into my face. You can forget about the fish Megan, l have another idea.
