We all ran in different directions. I am not even sure where they went but l ran towards the field of trees just after the cars.

Ahh Ahhh.

I dont wanna die, somehow l mumble the words even though l am currently breathing through my nose and mouth.

Urging my legs to go fast, l somehow muster through the pain as the bushes scraping my legs. Running forward l keep looking back to see if anyone is behind me. And because it is dark and l cannot see clearly l run right into a fence and the force knocks me down into the ground, landing painfully on my back.

Aww! Struggling to take in a few breaths l remain on the ground starring up at the sky. Watching the clouds as the pass by while the stars remain in their place and for some reason that seems to calm me down.

You better come out Mother Fucker! A very deep angry voice tears through the silence not so far startling me, l was so focused on the stars that I ended up not hearing him approaching.

As the hurried footsteps draw nearer l scramble onto my feet.

Facing the fence, it isnt too high and l dont have much of a choice but to climb over it. I take another look back, seeing a light being waved around and it is drawing closer.

Dusting off my hands l place my right foot on one of the holes, with both hands at the top l lift myself up but just as l am about to place my left foot a huge animal appears out of nowhere startling me, barking so loudly, and out of fear and shock l lose my grip and footing which causes me to fall on my back once more.

Aww.

Not wanting to waste time this time around l get onto my knee because l still do not have the energy to stand up properly. I lift my head up, starring right into its creepy dark eyes and it barks again. From this position it is taller than me, it is one of those dogs that are really big, and l should probably get away before it realizes that it can jump the fence if it wants. I use my hands to lift myself off the ground.

Looking around trying to decide in which direction l should run in, l stop in my tracks realizing something. There is something seriously wrong. I know that before things where not clear because it is dark and l was running but now its worse, things are even more blurred.

Shit, l cant see anything. Squinting my eyes, hoping things will get better l realize something else, there is no added weight on my noses, my glasses are gone!

I reach out to my face, patting all over, my glasses are gone. They must have come off when l fall or maybe while l was running. Getting onto my fours again, I stretch my hands forward looking all over patting the ground but the only thing they come in contact with is more soil; branches and leaves.

Reluctantly l move towards the fence, with the dog still barking when finally I feel the frame on the ground when someone grabs me roughly from behind, shining a bright light into my eyes.

Ndikufumene! I found you! The person says tightening his grip even more and starts dragging me away. I try pulling my arm away from him; hitting him with my free hand; bagging him to left me go; digging my feet into the ground trying to stop him but to no avail. I watch hopelessly as he drags me further away from the bushes and trees towards the house.

Even though we are now approaching the house l still refuse to give up, digging my feet into the ground and throwing cruses at him. He carries me up the two stairs, opening the door and shoves me inside and l fall onto my hands and knees. There is no way l am getting through this without bruises.
