"Vegas, just look at it! Oh, it's incredibly beautiful today, ain't it?.. Vegas? Vegas, where you're looking at?!"
A boat for two, floating quietly on the calm surface of the lake, shrouded in the blueberry twilight of the coming night. Pete's head rests on the back of his husband's chest, his gaze turned to the marble-pink lunar disk. And he wants Vegas to admire all this beauty too, but his husband, lying a little higher, cannot look away from his eyes shining in the moonlight and coral-red lips.
"Vegas!"
"You know how hard it is for me to deny myself the pleasure of admiring you, my dove. Moreover," Vegas' palm insistently slides over his tummy, "you look so beautiful in this light... I am forever charmed by you, my Pete."
No matter how long Vegas has lived in the modern world, his speech, especially when it comes to assurances and admiration for his husband, is always full of beautiful old-fashioned phrases, but Pete's growing on them more and more. He knows that no omega in the world will hear such a thing from his alpha.
"Well, at least take a peek," Pete pulls out his lips with a tube, which inevitably makes Vegas laugh, "huh?"
Vegas kisses him gently on the temple several times, covers his palms with his own and turns his gaze to the sky. Pete doesn't see it, but by the movement of the husband's lips, he recognizes a smile in them. Then Vegas says:
"In China, this phenomenon is called the Peony Moon. People believe that it has magical powers. So you can make a wish," Vegas kisses him on the temple again, and then presses his warm cheek to it, "just choose the most cherished one."
Pete turns on his side and puts his arms around the husband's neck:
"I have you three. I have been living for five years, cherishing endless happiness inside. What more can I ask for?"
Vegas' gaze, which is already looking at omega with warmth, becomes even softer and more tender. Touching Pete's cheek with his palm, he can feel the latter clinging to it like an affectionate kitten. Both know that no matter how many years have passed, their love, tenderness and craving for each other will never run out; no matter how much they touch each other, each new touch is an exciting and sweet moment that they want to stretch for eternity.
And then they kiss. Slowly, but fervently and sincerely.
And Pete doesn't know how much time they both have. But he's sure that he will live it as the happiest omega in the whole world.
"Vegas?"
"What, my dove?"
"I've never asked, but always wanted to know... how did you manage not to give yourself away? Well, that is, after all, others could notice that you are not getting older?"
Vegas hugs him. Pete snuggles under his arms, his whole body pressed against the alpha's side. Their bare ankles touch, so that despite the warmth of his husband, the omega feels exciting cool tingling in his toes.
"In fact, the scars did a good job of hiding possible 'wrinkles'. And of course, I periodically had to move to another place. So once I found myself in Bangkok and met you... but let's not talk about it, okay? I don't want you to be sad, my sweet dove."
Pete purrs, running his nose over the alpha's shoulder:
"It's all gone. There's nothing to be sad about, my love."
Vegas strokes his hair, tangling his long fingers in it. He delicately combs the soft curls with them, and Pete suddenly has a desire to return back to their bedroom as soon as possible. And he does not need to hint about this at all to prudent Vegas, who carefully helps both to take a sitting position and, without taking his deep gaze off the omega, begins to row to shore. There he gallantly gives his husband his hand, helping him to leave the boat, and they head for their house.
