Y/N's POV
"I don't wanna get up," I mumble grumpily to my mother, who's wasting all of her efforts into getting me to get out of bed.
"I know you don't want to, sweetheart, but you have things to do today. I need to go to the Compound for a training day, so I need you to get up before I leave," she tells me kindly, already getting out some clothes for me to wear today.
"Just five more minutes," I whine, rolling over and closing my eyes again.
When I open them again, I immediately see on my alarm clock that it's about two hours later than it was when I was last awake, therefore mom is definitely at work, hence the note on my nightstand.
'Hiya, sweets. I told you not to go back so sleep, silly! I imagine you're probably gonna see this around midday, so just a reminder that I'll be home at six and I made you lunch that's in the fridge. Be kind to yourself today, I love you. xx'
Smiling to myself at the written words, I take a few moments to wake up as I stay laying in my bed.
So many tasks to do, all I want to do is avoid them. But, I don't really have a choice.
Once I've gotten myself ready for the day, I firstly head into the kitchen to get my lunch that mom made. I open the fridge and see the plate that she made for me, and then take it out and place it onto the counter.
As I'm eating, something else catches my eye. And that's the homework I have scattered all around the kitchen.
Shit. That was all due last night and I'm nowhere near done. I just kept getting distracted.
Maybe I can finish it all and still send it over to my teacher.
Leaving the rest of my lunch, which I'll come back to later, I push my plate away and pull my laptop over and some papers over.
It takes about an hour for me to complete and send over, along with a long apology email for it being late, but it's done now and I can finish my food after I put my laptop back into my room.
"Shit, I forgot about that," I mumble under my breath as I see the pile of laundry that I was supposed to do yesterday. I suppose I still have time to do that now.
-
Alright, laundry on. Now I can go finish my lunch.
Except, I can't, because now my energy levels are up and I can think of a million different things that I have to do.
First, I vacuum my bedroom and clean whilst blasting out Taylor songs, and then I walk into the living room, only to see the coffee I left in there yesterday. I was wondering where that went.
Next I find the keys I've been searching for for days, and of course they were literally on my desk the entire time.
Since I've completed everything I need to for the time being, I decide to sit down to watch a movie.
It doesn't take longer than ten minutes for me to start thinking about other things, and now I've completely missed the dialogue and have no clue what's going on.
Maybe I should get snacks. But do I want to get up? I'm really comfy and I might not be able to get as comfy if I leave and come back. But this doesn't feel right without food. There's a blanket over there that I really want on, but also involves me getting up.
Oh, my lunch! Well, it's more like dinner time now, and it's probably gone all gross from me leaving it.
Why do I suddenly feel so tired? Wasn't I just dancing a few hours ago?
I can't wait for mom to get home, she'll help me feel better.
WANDA's POV
It's no surprise when I get home to see Y/N fast asleep on the couch, she tends to crash in the afternoons/evenings, it's normal for her.
I'm tired from my day, too. I was partnered up with Nat and that girl is relentless when it comes to training. It felt like a boot camp!
So, I picked us up some dinner from Bella Italia today, which I know Y/N will be thankful for.
"Hey, sleepyhead," I coo softly, giving her a slight shake until she starts opening her eyes. "Morning, you. I can tell someone's worn out from her day?"
"Mm, mama, I'm sleepy," she groans, shuffling over to place her head in my lap.
"I know, and I saw that you left half your food. Did you get distracted?"
As expected, she nods.
"That's okay, sweetheart. I brought home dinner, you can eat on the couch if you need to. And we can put Gilmore Girls on."
Liking the idea, Y/N sits up slightly and waits for me to plate up our food.
When we're both seated again with plates on our laps, we put the TV on and my daughter leans into me as we eat.
