Chapter 35

I finish blow drying my hair .today I decided to straighten my hair since I don't do it that often I plug in my straightener letting it warm up

"Hey" Matt says climbing through my window "hey" i reply as he picks me up hug me "what you doing" he asks "just straightening my hair" I reply running the straightener through a piece of my hair "how do you guys straightening your hair is it hard"? Matt says "not really wanna try" I asks "sure" he shrugs I hand him my straighter

"So how do I do this" he asks "looking at me in my mirror" I laugh "you take a piece of my hair then run the straightener through it" I say "okay"he replies "don't burn me" I giggle "I won't "he smiles as he takes of piece of my hair and straightening it I watch as he keeps straightening my hair piece by piece
"Wow Matt your doing really good for a guy" I say "well I am the best at everything" he smirks "Matthew"? I say "hmmm" he hums "stop being so cocky I don't like it" I reply with a serious tone "okay" he chuckles I take a picture of Matt Doing my hair

I upload it to Instagram I caption it as Best boyfriend ever@matthewespinosa

When I'm done posting the picture I look up to see that Matt is done "wow Matt you did my hair better than me" I say looking in the mirror in amazement "really?I thought I was doing bad" he says
"No,no you did really good"I smile he looks down and blushes I lift his chin up and peck his lips "so do you want to go out for lunch" Matt asks "sure" I say I slip on my white hightop nike's I stand up "ready"? I asks "um yea but don't you think you should,erm change your shorts i mean don't you think there alittle too short" he says scratching the back of his neck "what do you mean"? I asks "I mean I don't want guys checking you out" he replies "Matt even if they were I don't care I don't like them I like you that's all that should matter right" I say "I guess your right"he smiles I smile back in return

"Now let's go get some food"I say intertwining our hands we hop into his car he starts the ignition and speed off
"I know this great place downtown you wanna try it"he asks "sure" I say "so while were driving for about an hour could you tell me about your dad" Matt says "what"? I say/shout "I want to know about your dad you never talk about him"Matt softly says I stare at him for a minute Matt eyes widen "did I go to far"? Matt panics "no am I really that scary" I asks "yeah when your angry" Matt replies "anyway about your dad" he says

"Oh yeah well my dad is the lieutenant in the army he's about 6'5" he a boy version of me we have a lot of things in common my dad is my best friend he's everything I was really sad when he went to the U.S. Army my biggest fear is him getting hurt and never coming home sometimes I have these crazy nightmares that he got shot and died I don't know what I would do without him" I say "do you think about him" Matt asks "all the time"I say "I really hope he can make it to my prom" 0oh he's gonna make it" Matt smirks "what?" I say "nothing" he smiles "your full of something aren't you"I laugh at him "yep full of hopes and dreams" he smiles cheekily I playfully roll my eyes we pull up to this beautiful fancy restaurant
It was outdoor with pretty white lights hanging above it.

"Matt why didn't tell me we were going somewhere fancy I wouldn't have wore this" I say "what your wearing is fine" he says wrapping an arm around my waist "okay" I reply he smiles down at me "this place is really pretty" I smile "I know right" Matt says we look at the menu "do you know what you want"?he asked "yup" I say popping the "p" he fiddles with my fingers "so did you get a dress yet for prom" he says "not yet but me,Maggie and Madison are going shopping for some dresses" I reply "do you want me to come with you" he replies "nope I don't want you to see what the dress looks like I wanna surprise you" I smirk he chuckles the waiter comes and take our orders "have you pick out a tux yet" I smile deviously knowing he didn't
"No" he laughs the waiter comes back with our food we devour it in forty five minutes we walk back to the car hand in hand it was dark out but it was nice with the warm summer breeze blowing across my face. i count the trees that rode by as we drive him my eyes started feeling heavy next thing you know I'm asleep.

Matts p.o.v
I look over at Riley too see that she fallen asleep I smile looking back at the road then her she looks so beautiful the way her hair flys everywhere as the summer breeze blows through it she looked so peaceful i pull up in her driveway I didn't want to wake her so I picked her up bridal style she turned in my arms facing me her hands fell onto my chests her face in the crook of my neck I knock on her house door and her brother opens it "hey Matt" he whispers seeing that Riley was asleep "hey" I whisper back he opens the door wide enough for me I walk in "thanks for bringing her home"he whispers "anytime" I say "you really like her don't you"? he asks "No I don't like her I pause I love her" I finish he smiles lightly I get ready to walk upstairs to her room "oh and Matt"? he says "yes" I reply "please protect her" he says "with my life" I smile he smiles back I walk to her room laying her in her bed I take off her shoes covering her up with a blanket "goodnight riley" I say kissing her on the forehead I try walking away but a pair of hands grab me by the collar she crashes her lips onto mine I kiss her back we pull apart "I love you" she says staring me in the eye "I love you more" I say "impossible" she replies "oh it's possible" I smile walking away she smiles back.
