Blossom turned and shifted in her sleep. Darkness enveloped her brain.

"Blossom?" A voice sounded behind her.

"It's me, Queen Anemone."

"Anemone? How are you–" She had found a dreamvisitor!

"I'm here to deliver your payment. Go to the shore of the Sea Kingdom, let me know you're there, and I will send one of my subjects to give you your payment."

Blossom nodded. "Yes, Anemone. After this mission."

Before Anemone left, she corrected, "Queen Anemone."

After Anemone left, Blossom thought she saw a shift of purple light behind her. Blossom whirled around. For a moment, she saw a dragon, but it was gone as soon as she saw them.

Blossom then snapped awake, the light suddenly piercing her eyes. She sat up, and looked around.

"Morning." Blossom whirled around, her eyes still a bit blurry. Once her eyes came into focus, she recognized Seastorm.

"Is it just me, or during the night I had a change in body temperature. One minute, I was as freezing as a SandWing in the Ice Kingdom," She then continued, "Where we are," Seastorm took a bite of her apple, "And then I felt like I suddenly was lying under a warm leaf."

Blossom watched Seastorm devour the apple, she grabbed one of her own. When Seastorm turned and saw the look on Blossom's face, which was like, 'Yeah,–it–was–just—you–I–had—nothing–to–do–with–it', she said, almost inaudibly, "I guess just me, then, heh."

Blossom's head snapped to the icy wasteland behind the hybrids. Faint wingbeats filled the air as faraway IceWings started to rise out of their homes.

Blossom whispered, noticing that Val could barely hear her: "You're a SeaWing-RainWing hybrid, right? Can you change your scales?"

Seastorm barely had time to nod before Blossom added, "Can you manage to copy this?"

Blossom started to slowly change her underbelly a shade of pale purple, while she simultaneously changed her gold and pink scales to splotches of light blue and sapphire-blue. She made her webbed talons a shade of purple, and curled them, almost making them seem serrated.

We're running out of time....

Seastorm nodded and scanned Blossom. Blossom could see that Seastorm changed her underbelly to silver, and she brightened her regular scales to a shade of light blue. Seastorm curled her claws and turned them silver. A glint of sea-green caught Blossom's eye. There was a waved scale print that Blossom hadn't noticed before was still sea-green.

"Can't you change those waves patterns?" Blossom asked.

Seastorm said, "No. I haven't been able to. Maybe they will think I'm a IceWing-SeaWing hybrid? Since the wavy pattern is sea-green"

"No offense, but what IceWing-SeaWing hybrid has a wavy pattern on their chest that is sea-green?"

Seastorm and Blossom simultaneously rolled their eyes.

Blossom turned away from Seastorm and trudged deeper into the Ice Kingdom. Blossom could feel the searing cold seep into her, even through the magical protection of her jade bracelet that combated the frostbite, and the leaves she enchanted that kept her warm.

Seastorm was faring almost as well as her, but she was slowing. They passed villages and almost reached the palace when Val said, "Wait, Blossom stop. What would we do if someone asked for our names? What will they be?"
