What does she mean by 'Now you'll join Moth'? Blossom's breath caught in her throat.

Why did Venus want Majestic killed anyway?

Blossom roared, startling Majestic. She lunged, avoiding the talons, and head-butted Majestic in the neck. The flamesilk-covered talons lightly brushed her neck as the SilkWing hybrid collapsed under Blossom's weight.

Suddenly, a tiny voice that sounded like Majestic spoke in Blossom's mind, "Good. Now kill your friends, the IceWing and the SeaWing assassin."

Blossom turned to Seastorm, slipping Venom Fang into her talons. The look in Seastorm's eyes seemed like fear. Blossom saw her reflection in Seastorm's scared eyes.

She still looked normal, but her eyes had changed. Now they were milky green orbs, like the breath of evil mind control Blossom had heard of. That was due to her moonlicking fish-faced blob of turtle spit known as her father, Turtle. Blossom was slowly headed towards Seastorm, her face set in an unreadable expression.

That's it. That's why Venus wanted her dead. Majestic has mind control.

But how? Blossom cracked her mouth open to warn Val of Majestic's power, but nothing but a low snarl came out. Blossom kept advancing; Hare hid behind Seastorm; both were shaking.

Enchant....Enchant this jade bracelet to block all effects of mind control, and to dispel the mind control already happening on the wearer!

Blossom suddenly felt something feel better, as if there had been a mist clouding her mind, and she felt that the "mist" was gone.

Majestic growled, shook her head, and muttered, "No...not.....yet......"

Blossom tilted her head, confused.

Who is she talking to?

Blossom took this free moment to whisper to Seastorm and Hare, "Majestic has mind control, which is inflicted onto a dragon by her silk. Watch out for a strand of a soft-looking thing on the ground, usually glowing or not. Also, watch out for her talons, too."

Seastorm and Hare both nodded shakily, no doubt scared of Blossom still, "Okay. We will."

Blossom felt Majestic's talons dig into her back.

"Here's a tip: never turn your back on your enemy."

Blossom did a backflip, and ended up hitting Majestic in the face with her back talons, sending the pink and gold dragon flying into a snow-covered tree. Blossom's assassin target groaned.

She winced, "I can't fight anymore. Please," she winced at some scratches near her mouth, and continued, "End it. End me."

Blossom was shocked. She wanted for Blossom to kill her?

I'm an assassin, right? This is what I do for a living. She wants to die, anyway. This should be easy.

Blossom grabbed Venom Fang, who had been discarded in the bloody battle, and stared at its curved blood stained blade.

So why does this feel so wrong?

Blossom looked at Venom Fang, then at Seastorm. The SeaWing hybrid seemed to be staring in pity at Majestic. Blossom took a good look at Venom Fang, then slipped it into its sheath.

Blossom decided, "Come on, Seastorm. Let's let her go."

Seastorm gasped. "B-but–w-we're assassins! We're trained to kill! And we wouldn't be completing our mission if we let her go!"

Blossom dipped her head. "I know. But I'm letting this one live."

Seastorm nodded. "Sure. But next time....I will kill the next target."

"If there is a next time."

Then Blossom noticed that even in all the chaos, Hare was still there. The purple IceWing was still lying on the ground, scarlet and sapphire blood staining her cold purple scales.

She gasped painfully, "Can I come with you?"

Blossom looked at Seastorm, who nodded.

Blossom answered, "Do you want to be an assassin?"

Hare shook her head. "No. I only want to come with you because I have never seen the real world. The only way I get to 'see' it is if a dragon tells me," she clasped her glittering and bloodstained talons together, "Please? My mother never lets me."

Blossom looked at Val, who nodded, once again. Blossom turned her gaze to the IceWing, "Yes. 'Enjoy' the 'outside world'."

Hare grinned, then leapt over to Blossom's side. "Where to, next?"

Blossom turned to Majestic, and asked, "Do you want to come too?"

Majestic shook her head painfully; Blossom watched as the SilkWing hybrid heaved herself up painfully. "No. My home is...." she trailed off, "near here. I will stay. Thanks for asking."

"Where too?" Hare asked again. "Now?"

"To the Sea Kingdom." Blossom responded.

I don't know why, but I hope you change your mind, Majestic of the SilkWings and RainWings. If you don't, I get the feeling you will regret it.
