Basketball Varsity

"Where's Matt?" 

I kept on looking back and front, side to side to look for Matt. Everyone who's including in the Varsity is already there at the court. I was sitting at the bleachers with Carlin, Ladim, Andi and Nadia.

I don't even know why Andi is with us again. She's gonna insult me for sure about my physical appearance. I roll my eyes as I panic and pout. Where's Matt?

They're about to start the warm-up pero wala pa si Matt. Francis and Herold are already there. The coach starts to call their names for them to recognize the try-outers. Hindi na ako mapakali. I'm about to throw my iced coffee.

"You're not at ease. Ano meron?" Ladim ask.

"Where's Matt?" I sigh. "He said manood daw ako kasi gusto niya ako makita." I tell them.

The 4 of them were flattered. They start to shout and slap me on my shoulder. To my confusion, my eyes furrowed. "Huh ano meron?" I ask them.

"Girl umiibig kana!" Carlin pushes me. "Gano'n ba kapag galing Brazil?"

"Anong umiibig? hindi 'no!" I deny.

As I saw Matt, he was running, my face forms a smile. He was wearing a black shorts and a yellow jersey.

Damn he has long legs! I blush as I see him. His hair was bouncing as he was running towards the try-outers. He looked at the crowd and he saw me. His face forms a smile and gave me a thumbs up. I smile back and gave him a thumbs up as well.

That smile of him, nawawala ang mata niya and that is just so cute!

"Go Matt!" I put both of my hands side to side of my mouth to cheer for Matt. "Go!"

"Hala siya!" Carlin slaps my back.

"Aray!" I complain. "Sakit!"

"Sus crush mo?"

"Ano?!" my eyes widen.

"Yie!" Andi says with a loud voice. "Just be careful on him," Andi flips her hair. "Baka ma-abuse ka char!" she joked.

"Hey don't joke about abuse, Andi." Ladim say, getting annoyed at Andi. "Sinisiraan mo na si Matt." 

"Oo nga!" Carlin says, rolling her eyes at Andi.

"It's obviously true!" She shouts.

"Umalis kanga rito!" Carlin says, containing her resentment. "Stupid girl romanticizing abuse, its's not funny. We all know Matt's attitude. Hindi siya abusive. Ikaw nga 'tong hinahampas si Matt dati sa public."

My jaw dropped. She's hurting Matt before?

"How dare you! don't even bring that up! I'm a girl so I can do that!" Andi justifies. 

But what does she mean that Matt is abusing her? is that true also?

"Umalis kanga!" Carlin roared. "Walang may karapatan mang-abuse rito!"

"Aalis kami, mga peste kasi kayo!" Andi flips her hair and clutches her bag then left with Nadia.

"Why does she kept insisting that Matt is abusive? is that true?" I ask Ladim, with a serious tone.

"Nope," Ladim says in deadpan. "Not to invalidate a feeling of Andi but she makes up stories to gain attention." 

"True," Carlin says. "It's her HPD,"

I sigh heavily and focused on Matt. They started to warm-up, and do some exercises. Matt is so tall. His long legs makes him tall and attention caughting. He removes his glasses and place it on the bench.
