Chapter thirteen: Danhyanggok

"What do you think about a small wedding?" I asked Dang-gu as we sat at a pond. "Don't you want a big one?" He asked.

I shook my head "no, there's too much going on right now, just our close friends and your family will be enough" I said. "Of course if you want a big one then that's fine to, as long as your happy"

"No no, if you want a smaller one than that's fine, after what happened.... last time, a smaller one might be better" he said. I nodded, he's right.

"No one will die this time... I promise"

"Dang-gu, what the heck?"

"What" he asked, cheeks full of sweets. I sighed, "I thought you said you was taking those to Yul?"

He froze and smiled nervously "Oops? But dose he really need them? He has money he can buy his own, I deserve these"

I laughed. "I should have hid them, anyways, I'm going to go put some tea on, hey! Don't eat all those, your stomach will hurt, and I don't feel like explained to Master Heo why your stomach is messed up"

"I won't"

"Yuna, May I speak to Dang-gu?" Bu-yeon asked coming up to me.

"Yes of course, I believe he's outside, let me go find him" I told her, turning away.

"I'll come with! There's no sense in staying back here" she said, following after me.

"Yep, knew it, Lord Park, Young Lady Bu-yeon wants to speak with you" I told him. He hummed, motioning to the table in front of him "sit down"

"So you wish to go to Danhyanggok. Wh-why there?" Dang-gu asked her after she explained what she wanted.

"I heard about a gigantic tree there, and I really want to see it for myself" she said.

"It's true there's a tree I went with Yuna, Uk and Yul. We've seen the tree together" Dang-gu managed to get out.

The tree Mudeok wanted to go to the top of....

"The tree that I wish to see is actually my tree" she said, making my eyes widen. "Huh?"

"I remember a very big tree there and I wish to see it... if it really exists" she said.

"Uh, I'm not sure we're taking about the same tree, but it's really tall. It will be easy for you to find it. I would love for us to escort you there ourselves, but we're busy. Shall I have someone guide you to Danhyanggok?" Dang-gu said.

"I will ask if I need someone to do so" Bu-yeon said.

"Are you going to Danhyanggok?" Yul, who had snuck up on us, asked her.

"Oh, good! Yul knows his way around there better than me. He went there a lot when he was young" Dang-gu said.

"I also wanted to go there shall we go?" Yul asked her.

"Oh, that's wonderful, Yul can take you there. You can go together" I told her.

"I heard it's dangerous though. Is that fine Yul?"

"Yes let's go there together"

With that, Yul walked away, but Bu-yeon, instead of following him like I had assumed, turned back to us.

"Thank you for tea. And Yuna?" She asked me. I hummed wanting her reply.

"Is... is there something different with your every day routine?" She asked. I looked at her weirdly, and shook my head "not that I'm aware of no, why do you ask?"

She stayed quiet a second better responding. "Nothing, it's just, your energy seems off.... I'm sure it's nothing" she said, then got up and left.

I turned my head to Dang-gu, who had a confused look on his face as well. "Did that make sense to you?" He asked. I shook my head "nope, but then again, nothing makes sense anymore"

"Park Dang-gu!" A voice sounded in the hall. We turned to see Park Jin walking, more like speed walking, towards us.

"My lord, what is it you need?" I asked, bowing my head.

"Have you two set a date for the wedding yet? People are getting anxious"

"Oh uh, we've talked about it, but a date hasn't been set yet" Dang-gu said. Park Jin hummed, nodding his head.

"Maidservant Kim says it should be soon, she wants to help of course. And I'll cover the food and everything, so all you two have to do is pick a date and be there" he said.

I froze, his food was the last thing I would want at my wedding but I really don't wanna tell him that.

"Oh, we were actually thinking about having a smaller wedding, just family and friends" Dang-gu told him.

He seemed shocked, but after a few seconds he slowly nodded. "It's whatever you two want, as long as your comfortable. I'll talk to maidservant Kim and see what we can do, just... tell me a date soon so she'll stop bugging me about it" he whined before leaving.

I giggled a little. "Well, that was eas-"

"What about the day after tomorrow?" dang-gu cut me off.

I turned to him in shock. "In 2 days?" I asked. He nodded "this way there's no time for anyone to disagree, and it'll be done with. We've already decided on a small wedding, so the sooner the better right? Or would you wanna wait, it's whatever you want honey" he said.

"No, that's fine, the sooner the better, this way we can get it out of the way before Uk and Bu-yeon's" I said.

He nodded. "I'll tell uncle later, I have a feeling he'll be in a bind trying to make food for it" he laughed.

I nodded, then sighed "I love your uncle but I don't think I can eat another round of his cooking"

He nodded, grabbing my hand "me either"

And with that we started walking again.
