Chapter sixteen: saving Yul

"Every time the crown prince rewarded me I stashed it in here" Uk said as we looked at the piles and piles of gold

"So you jus left all of it here like this?" Dang-gu asked.

"Well, I have no need for it and didn't want to drag it home. I get 1,000 nyang for each soul shifter, so there should be 30,000 nyang" he told Master Heo.

"Great! Then we're ready to remove that parasite, let's start" Master Heo said.

"Dang-gu, you and Yuna move the gold we need to Jinyowon. And I'll follow you once we get Yul's energy into her" Uk told us.

"Maybe Cho-yeon should help, it would make it easier for the both of them" Bu-yeon said.

I turned my head towards the girl in question, "that would be fine. Only if you want to of course" I said.

She nodded "I'll help"

"Perfect" Master Heo said. "Let us go prepare"

We then started moving the gold to Jinyowon, as Uk asked us to do. We formed it in a circle around the fire bird egg.

The Crown Prince was there as well, he helped some, not a ton, but some.

"So this pile of gold is from all those times I rewarded Jang Uk?" He asked us.

"He never used a single one, just piled them here. He'll live thanks to Jang Uk"  Dang-gu said.

"We must protect Jinyowon's door with my mother. You can wait here your majesty. Since Jang Uk and my sister will be here soon" Cho-yeon said.

"Jin Bu-yeon will be here to?" He asked her.

"Yes, please don't start arguing with Uk" I told him.

"We won't argue. Jang Uk and I share a turtle together.... Have you seen how smart that thing Is?"

I seen Dang-gu turn his head with a tiny smirk, trying not to laugh.

"Did they do it?" I asked as Bu-yeon came running through the doors, and past us, back to Sejukwon, Uk and the Crown Prince following her.

"I don't know, we should follow them, thank you for helping us Lady Jin" Dang-gu said to Lady Jin.

He then turned to Cho-yeon "um, have a nice day" she smiled at him, "you too"

"Thank you Lady Jin, Young Lady Jin" I said, bowing my head to them both before turning and walking away with Dang-gu.

"Do you think they did it?" He asked as we walked. I sighed "I hope so. I don't know what I'd do, we'd do if Yul doesn't make it"

"Hey, hey" he said, grabbing me by the shoulders, turning me to face him "he's going to make it, you know Yul, he's stubborn, there's no way he's going to let himself die like this"

I nodded "yeah, you're right, but that doesn't mean I can't worry"

He shook his head "come on, let's get back"

"He's alright, he'll live, it's best you give him some space to rest and heal" Young Lady Heo said when we tried to get into Sejukwon.

"That's good, I'm glad  he's okay" I said.

"We'll head back to Songrim, thank you again Young Lady Heo" Dang-gu said, we then turned and headed back to his.... Well, our room.

"When would you want to do it? I don't want to force it on you if you aren't ready just yet" Dang-gu asked. I thought about it for a moment "how about tomorrow? We already agreed on a small one so there's no need for a lot of people to be there" I said.

He hummed "if that's what you want, that's completely fine with me, I just want you to be happy"

"Dang-gu, you realize this is also your wedding too, right?"

"Of course, I just, I want this to be special for you" he said.

I nodded my head "we'll tell your uncle about it then"

"Young lady Jin is at Sejukwon in songrim?" Maidservant Kim said as we walked down the stairs.

"Yeah, her mother believes that she's still at Uk's house, while Uk must believe she went to Jinyowon" Dang-gu told her.

"Is it really over between them?" I asked her.

She sighed "whenever she would leave our house, he would go and bring her back every time. And she must be choosing to stay in songrim because she's been waiting for him to bring her back"

"Let's just leave them be" she said.

She then turned to the entrance, where Dang-gu's uncle was walking in through. "Oh, lord Park's here... you only appreciate someone once their gone. Lord Park!" She yelled, going over to him.

They immediately started talking to one another, and getting their affection in.

"They make a great couple right?" I asked him.

"They do"

We could hear maidservant him saying that we were watching them, so we just smiled and looked away.

"You've decided to have your wedding tomorrow?" Maidservant Kim asked in shock.

"Yes, we want a smaller wedding so, if everyone that is allowed to come is notified tonight, then hopefully they can make it"  I said.

"But, don't you want a big wedding? To announce that you're the lady of songrim?" She asked.

I shook my head "having our close friends and family is more than enough"

"Well, if that's what you two want then, I see no problem with it, we'll make sure everyone is there, I promise" Park Jin said.

"Thank you Uncle, Maidservant Kim, we really wouldn't be able to do it without you" Dang-gu said.

They nodded, but then Maidservant Kim gasped, "what about a wedding dress? Oh gosh, we need to get the stylist back!" She said, freaking out.

"Oh, I didn't think about that" I muttered.

"Don't worry, we'll figure it out" she said.

I nodded "thank you"
