Chapter one: 3 years later

3 years later:
Yuna's POV:

A lot of things happened after Mudeok was discovered to be Naksu. Uk turned out to be alive & Jinyowon closed the doors, not allowing anyone to enter.

Cho-yeon called off her and Dang-gu's wedding, it was hard for him, he cried for days, not wanting to talk, or eat. I had to force him to drink water, and barley got him to eat enough to keep him alive.

It only lasted for a while, he eventually got better, he still cries, but not as much, Park Jin ended up stepping down as leader, making Dang-gu step up, becoming leader seemed to have changed him, he's able to focus on the soul shifters and taking care of himself better than he did.

As for me, after some fighting with Dang-gu, I became his assistant, helping him become the best leader he can be. I also train with the Jeongjingak
Mages.

Which brings me to where we are right now, me walking into Dang-gu's room to get him.

"Dang-gu" I said walking in. He turned towards me from whatever he was doing, i don't think I'll ever get used to his short dark hair, he still looks handsome but it's hard to get used to.

"Mm?" He asked, I sighed "there's been a Soul Shifter spotted near Yeongpo Dock, I believe Uk is already heading that way as well" i said, he nodded grabbing his sword before pulling me out of the room.

He's been determined to help Uk fight and get rid of Soul Shifters, and since I learned things fast, I've been helping him as well.

We left immediately and quickly got on the soul shifters trail, we almost had it cornered when it jumped over a building, Dang-gu followed after it.

This is the only part of it I hate, jumping. "Come on, we'll catch up, I don't trust you enough yet to jump that far" Sang-ho said grabbing my arm before I could try the jump.

I've been training under him and Dang-gu, that's what Park Jin recommended me to do. Although with Dang-gu being the leader of Songrim it's a bit harder for him to train me all the time, so Sang-Ho does most of the time.

We ran all the way through the benders till we got a glimpse of her going into Jinyowon.... Oh no.

We continued to run until we found Dang-gu, coming out of one part. "Did you lose her?" He asked.

We took a small pause "she fled into Jinyowon... just a moment ago" I said, huffing from the running.

Dang-gu turned his head from us "Jinyowon?" I could see it was still hurting him even after 3 years, and I understand why, she left him without letting him explain to her, not even once.

"Come on, we have to warn them Gu" I said, taking his hand. He's been more touchy these past 3 years as well, always wanting to hold my hand or hug me, or maybe that was me, either way.

"Outsiders are forbidden from stepping foot into Jinyowon" a priestess said, as we tried to get into Jinyowon to get the Soul shifter.

"Jinyowon, for the past three years, has kept its door barred, forbidding any outsiders from entering, i get it. However a soul shifter ran inside and it's urgent... tell Lady Jin I want to speak with her immediately" Dang-gu said.
