Naruto is (not) an idiot [RECONTINUED!]

CH. 13

The two weeks had passed completely. Naruto stood in the stands, much to every genin's chagrin. Naruto sat in his seat with his arms crossed, knowing his advancement to special Chunin was on the way.

"Why are you in this area? Shouldn't you be in the stands?" This rather accusatory question came from Sakura, receiving a sigh from the boy.

"Sakura, Sarutobi-Sensei said he would test me personally after the last round." Sakura just looked slightly confused.

"This is to show whether or not I have heeded his teachings. If I have, then I will become Tokubetsu Jonin, allowing me to specialize in whatever field I like." Naruto gave a big smile to Sakura, showing his glee at the situation, and lack of frustration with her.

"Oh! Thank you, Naruto. Sorry if I was rude." Sakura gave a small bow, surprising just about everyone but a few of Sakura's close friends.

And Naruto.

Sakura is dense, not stupid. She's kind under all of that fan girl exterior. I'm sure it's just a faze. Naruto thought to himself, seemingly lost thought until he sensed a strange power from the Kage booth.

Kurama, I need you to confirm if what I'm sensing is-

Yeah kit, it's snakes. I can smell the bastard from here.

Kurama always hated snakes.

"Excuse me, I'll be back in a few moments." Naruto shunshined away and put up a basic henge to fool villagers and low/mid-rined nin. He then proceeded to take a fox mask out of a storage seal on his body. He shunshined to the kage box with the mask on to inform the Hokage.

Naruto appeared next to the Hokage.

"Hokage-sama. There has been a development of extreme importance. An intruder has been found, we are searching and interrogating him as we speak." Hiruzen gave a nod to his student.

"Hakage-sama, this intruder has very important plans regarding the moves of the Akatsuki." Hiruzen knew that only a few knew about the Akatsuki, so whatever it was, it must have been very important for Naruto to pull him away.

The two shunshin away, to the center of the forest of death.

"This better be important-!" Hiruzen was cut off by Naruto just as quickly as he started.

"Orochimaru is here. There is no one else with a sagehood in snakes other than that bastard. Wherever he is, he's planning something. I refuse to leave your side until Orochimaru has either been killed, captured, or has disappeared." Hiruzen looks at Naruto with shock.

"If you say true, you must protect the villagers." Naruto looked at his sensei and had a sudden idea.

Naruto cut his hands and began doing hand signs.

"Ninja art! Blood Clone Jutsu!" The four blood clones began to form, each with a bit of Kurama's chakra to be around mid-Jonin level.

"I'll use these to protect them, but I know for a fact that he's here, first and foremost, to kill you." Naruto gave Hiruzen a look of pleading.

I can't say no to that...Hiruzen, having his heart melted, allowed Naruto to be an anbu guard.

The two returned, both rather disgruntled.

The 'Kazekage' leaned over to Hiruzen.

"It seems there's a problem. I've heard of the Akatsuki."

"It was some basic movements of a recent recruit, Itachi Uchiha." The Kazekage jumped slightly, now knowing they weren't lying.
