Naruto is (not) an idiot [RECONTINUED!]

Ch. 23

Naruto let out a deep exhale, rubbing his eyes as he arrived at Konoha Gates.

"Welcome home, Naruto. The Hokage is waiting for you in her office." Naruto gave a quick nod and vanished into Tsunade's office.

"The situation has been resolved." Tsunade shot around to see Naruto sitting in her window. "Whatever captives or civilians remained were evacuated and will begin rebuilding soon." Tsunade raised a brow.

"How in the hell did you manage to do that so quickly, I was expecting you back in about a month, not 3 days." Naruto gave a short, humorless chuckle.

"Shinigami-sama assisted me in evacuating innocent souls. As for the destruction of Iwa..." Naruto turned to look at Konoha, the streets full of life. "-A few Senjutsu fueled jutsu was more than enough to completely obliterate the city."

"You don't mean the rumors about the Tree of Life are true?" Tsunade looked like she was telling the joke of the century.

"I suppose those outside of the scope of the Shodaime wouldn't be able to pull it off. Access to Yin Yang release really does wonders." Tsunade just shook her head in awe.

"Naruto... are you even mortal anymore?" Naruto shrugged his shoulders.

"I can tell you right now that I can still die. I'm not infallible. There's always a bigger fish, even if they appear later, there will always be a greater person." Tsunade gave a small smile.

"I suppose you would be the example, huh?" Naruto smiled.

"On a slightly more grim note, any word from Sasuke and Itachi?" Tsunade gave a small nod.

"The two ended up infiltrating Kumo rather than outright destroying it. It turns out that the Raikage had been in a coma for about 2 weeks due to an accident. The replacement Kage chosen was simply a pushover. The Raikage will recover in about 3 days, until then, we have a delegate monitoring the Kumogakure council on order of both our Fire Daimyo and the Lightning Daimyo." Naruto plopped down on a chair, exhaustion clear on his face.

"I think I should take a short break for at least a few days. With Kumo subdued and Iwa destroyed, things should be easier, not to mention I was able to... 'convince', one of the Akatsuki to join the Uzumaki." Tsunade nodded with a chuckle.

"I saw that. He was escorted to my office crying about his clan head eating him or something." Both broke out laughing.

"I guess my chakra domain really did a number on him!" The two slowed down, Tsunade out of curiosity.

"What do you mean by Chakra Domain?" Naruto tapped his chin in thought.

"Think of it like a dome filled with water. The dome is made of extremely dense chakra, with the water is a mix of demonic chakra and killing intent. At least mine is. I'm sure you could make one with your healing chakra along side a smidge of your own chakra." Tsunade nodded, pleased with the explanation. "That being said, after fusing with Kurama my killing intent and malicious chakra has grown even greater than what he had on October 10th."

Tsunade shivered slightly. "Are you really sure your mortal?" The two chuckled while shaking their heads, Naruto in amusement and Tsunade in exasperation.

"Am I dismissed?" Tsunade smirked.

"Who am I to tell and immortal what to do?" Tsunade waved her hand in a shooing motion before going back to her paperwork.

Naruto flashed out of her office back home.

Naruto was Infront of his door, smiling at the thought of just cuddling with his boyfriend for a while. 'Still don't know how that happened, but I'm not going to question it.' He opened to door quietly, wanting to surprise the door. Inside the room he saw his teammates, sitting at the table with Haku.
