"here fella what the fuck are ya talking about now"

The binman had his palms stretched out towards Paddy, but it wasn't doing anything.

"Give me that lamp NOW!"

He finally found out how to use it, and now everyone was going to come and try get it for themselves or something, jaysus.

"ya can fuck off. sure i only just learnt how to turn the thing on like."

Just then, the man pushed his palms out towards the already fed up Paddy. A swarm of moths came out from the man's pockets, and managed to form a huge cloud of them together. Paddy looked at it in confusion.

All the moths in the swarm booked it straight for the lamp in his backpack, causing it to fall over, and be engulfed by the huge cloud.

"here, what are the big fly yolks doing like?"

"They're not flies you nimrod! They're moths! The only power I got is to control fucking moths, but once I take my lamp back I'll be unstoppable!"

Patrick watched as the moth obsessed man shouted out his remarks, and also watched his light obsessed moths carry his lamp off into the nearby woods.

"Ah, fuck!!!"

The man could not control them, and ran off into the woods after them, slowly disappearing through the massive lines of trees.

"ah lad."

Well his lamp was gone. Now what was he going to do. Regardless, he walked into the town.

"thanfs veruy munch, miss."

"Remember, don't talk with your mouth full, sir."

That dinner he had was absolutely delightful. He spent a good portion of his money on it, unfortunately, but he was starving, and couldn't help himself.

He cleared up his table a small bit, and headed over to the counter.

"hello miss"

"Oh, hello again, 'Patrick'."

She was laughing for no reason.

"whats so funny miss?"

"Oh, oh nothing. Did you meet your friend? He came in here earlier. He said he was going to talk to you?"

Paddy wondered. He only had a few friends, but they were long dead from the drink, as they were all a bunch of alcoholics.

"no miss, i dont think i met him yet."

"Ah, that's unfortunate. If I end up meeting him again, I'll send him over to you. Also..."

"yeah?"

"Are you perhaps... from another world? I had my guesses, but wasn't too sure until I met your friend."

Apparently, she knew this stuff he hadn't told anyone. Maybe everyone knows then, it wouldn't be a farfetched guess.

"yeah, does it matter at all?"

"No, no, no. It's just that our town doesn't really get other world visitors as much as the capital does, haha."

The capital? Load of visitors from other worlds? He'll remember that in case it comes in handy.

"oh, ok, and miss, can you sort this out for me?"

"Hmm... well actually, first of all, call me Charlotte. And what's the problem?"

"well, 'charlotte', my lamp is gone"

She was a confused for a second until it clicked.

"Ohhhhhhh, you mean the magic device you carried around with you? Let me have a sneak peak of your adventurer card."

He handed it up, no questions asked.

"Look here, 'NIGGA LAMP', just click on the skill and it should fix your issue.

Clicking on the words, magically before him teleported the lamp. No sound effect, no dramatic pause, it was just... there.

Well atleast he knew he didn't need to keep a close eye on it now. Well, he'll still keep the backpack anyways.

"i could of done that the whole time? ah, thanks charlotte."

"No problem either, Patrick. Or... would you rather be called Pad - dy?"

"paddy."

"OK, Paddy. Well anyways, did you bring back the items for your quest?"

After sorting it out with her, and handing in the items, he was awarded with 1,000 gold. Not as much as the goblin quest, but it was a steady start.

What was it now... about... 1,000 for the dinner, so he's basically back to sitting on 2,500 for now.

"so miss, can i go do the goblins again."

"Uh, Paddy, I do have one goblin quest left, but I wouldn't recommend it."

Now he was intrigued.

"I would recommend you get a party of 5 going before you attempt something like this. Far down south, goblins reside in the mountains, a huge huge group of them. While the pay off is at 100,000, I'm not sure you should attempt this just yet."

"ya just have to kill them?"

"Well, more or less. The mountains are filled with valuable minerals and ores. Just getting them to relocate would mean accomplishing the quest."

"ill do it."

She sighed, but then began to laugh.

"Well, I've known you for only two days now, Paddy. You're always doing things way above your skill, and getting it done. If you believe you can do this, then I will too!"

A small smile went across his face.

"thanks miss- i mean charlotte. dont worry, itll be no bother."

"Well I'll give you the quest information and all that. But are you going to head out now? It's just a few hours until night."

She was right. It was about 7. It would turn to pitch dark very soon.

"yeah, ill get it done and over with."

"Don't get yourself hurt, you hear me? Hahaha. But one piece of advice I would give you is start a party on the way. The more, the merrier, right?"

"sure thing, ill see you when im done."

"I hope so, goodbye Paddy!!!"

And with that, he walked out of the two front doors. Heading down to a travelling merchant he had been given information about, he would bring him some of the way, for a price, of course.

"charlotte sent me, are you the fella?"

A man wearing a peculiar black top hat turned around.

"Ah, yes~ That would be me, monsieur. I'm heading out right now. You got the money, oui?"

"here you go, now lets hit the road."

"I'll be stealing that line, hobo, quite excellent~  Yes. Let's be on our way."

He got into the back of the wagon. Other than the space full of boxes, all full of accessories and goodies, he was able to set up a makeshift bed. With that, he fell asleep.
