Poetry 7: Reunited

There you sit across from me,
Wearing that red dress which rests above your knees,
Your hands move dramatically,
I can't think practically.

Your pink lips open and close,
What I would give away to bite those,
Your shoulders shake as you laugh,
It's enough to tear me into half.

He gives you a dreamy look,
If only you knew he really is a crook,
My heart starts burning with rage,
As he moves closer, I feel like trapping you in a cage.

Then suddenly, you catch my eye,
I don't know if this is hello or goodbye,
But then you stand up and walk to me,
I suddenly can't control my glee.

He looks up in bewilderment,
The look in my eyes is utterly triumphant,
And then you utter those three words,
I pinch myself to make sure that's what I heard.

Is this true or a mere fantasy,
Your each step increases my ecstasy,
As our lips finally meet,
The floor gives way under my feet.

Your delicate voice begs for forgiveness,
I feel like a child on Christmas,
And finally we are reunited,
The flame inside me is once again ignited.

One more thing, guys I was literally on cloud 9 when I saw that this book was ranked #310 yesterday in Poems. I can't tell you how happy I am!! Thank you everyone:)

Please please read, vote and comment! Why is it that the first poem has only 8 votes while it has 40 reads...? If the poem is that bad, please tell me, I'd love to know your feedback. If you like it even a bit, kindly vote.

Song at the side is 'Song For Zula' by Phosphorescent. It's lovely, go listen to it!
