Poetry 16:Sinful Smears

Some trust, some love, some smiles, some cries
Some truths, some flukes, some fights, some lies
A bit of hatred and a bit of care
A bit of struggle and a bit of tears

Like a spear cutting through the heart,
Piece by piece, he tore me apart
My trust broke like a smashed mirror
I'm sad and unhappy, but not a forgiver

The things he promised were all in vain
Now that I see him, my lips curl in disdain
Although he gave me so much to remember
All this, after all, was a game since forever

The naïve me let him have his way
Little did I know about the price I had to pay
His face makes me shed endless tears
There was no us, just sinful smears.
