Poetry 8:Sick

260 20 5

As I wake up, there is a pounding in my head,
My eyes are sore, my nose is red.
I feel as if the world is spinning,
"Go back to sleep!" My mind is begging

I think I've got school today,
The clouds are dark, my mood is gray
My body suddenly weighs a ton
My mother asks, "Whats wrong hon?"

I check my forehead for the temperature,
It's so hot, that it makes me stir.
Mom calls the school and says I'm not coming,
Then gives me a pill, which reduces my aching.

The entire day I'm wrapped in a blanket,
I eat bland soup and vomit in a bucket
As I sneeze for the hundredth time,
The bell on the door rings with a chime

I hear loud voices echoing through the house,
Are those really my friends or just a mouse?
The door opens and my best buddy steps in,
In her hand is a bouquet and on her face is a grin

A pile of people crowd in after her,
They all speak together; what they say is impossible to hear
All of them give me their best wishes,
I give them a small smile through my braces

The moon has appeared, the sun is gone,
The bright light is reflected on the front lawn
Just like that, we talk all night,
I don't know how, but I suddenly feel alright!

Sorry I took so long, I just didn't know what to write on. Hope you liked this one!

And please give me some suggestions as to what my next poem could be about, I'd surely try to write about it!
