Chapter 9:Lyon-Sized Problems

You were at the request board,you wanted to do a job,with violence in it.It was a while since I had a good battle,someone was behind you,Juvia.Anger welled up and it took all of your willpower not to send her flying off like poor,poor Natsu.

"Juvia?"you asked trying to hide your anger.

"Look,Y/N Juvia is sorry for the way Juvia acted.Juvia was just overcome with feelings"she said.

"It's okay Juvia"you said.

She smiled and left,you continued watching the request board.

'Ahh,here's a good one.A giant has been terrorizing a village,should be a good idea to bring someone just in case'you thought to yourself.

You walked up to Gray and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey Y/N,what's up?"he asked smiling.

"Gray,could you come with me to a mission?"you asked.

"I always go with the team...but this time I guess I could make an exception"Gray said.

You smiled sweetly and you left for the village which was kinda far away.On the way there you had to pass through a forest,the bushes started rustling and you shot ice at it.

"Hey!!!"a voice shouted.

A silver haired boy stood up,Lyon.

'What's he doing here?'you thought.

He walked up to you and inched close to your ear,you felt really awkward and you heard Gray grumble.

"I told you i'd see you again"he whispered.

"What are you doing here Lyon!?"Gray shouted.

"I was gonna see sweet,sweet Y/N again but I saw you leave with her and I just wanted to make sure you don't do anything stupid"Lyon said smirking at Gray.

Gray growled and you stood between the other ice-make wizards.

"Look Lyon you can come with us but if you annoy me I will not hesitate to send you flying.With pointed ice"you said saying the last part harshly.

Lyon gulped and you smirked and the three of you quietly made your way to the village.At some point Lyon slung your arm around your shoulder,you grunted and he let go.Gray put his arm around your shoulder and you didn't react.

"Hey!How does he get to do that!?"Lyon whined.

"Cuz i'm cooler than you"Gray said smirking.

There were gonna argue but you began forming ice,they shut up and we continued on our way.Gray removed his arm and placed it on the pockets of his hands.You looked at Lyon and he looked away once your gaze met.The ground suddenly had begun shaking and right in front of you was a massive giant,it looked at the three of you and you gulped and smirked.

'This ain't gonna be easy but the harder the battle is,the funner it gets'you thought.

It threw a punch and all of you leapt,in midair Lyon shot ice at it's foot freezing it to the spot.When he landed he flicked his hair.

"That my sweet,sweet Y/N is how you do it"he said winking at you.

The giant threw another punch aimed at Lyon,you ran at him.

"Lyon look out!"you shouted tackling him taking the hit instead.

You felt an astounding amount of pain course throw your body as you were knocked back and your back hit a tree.You sunk to the floor and the last thing you remember was landing on the grass with a thud...

(Time Skip)

You woke up but wasn't bothered to open my eyes.

"That giant is going to pay"...

'Natsu?What's he doing here?'you thought.

"Natsu...it isn't the giant's fault,it's mine"...

'Lyon?'

Silence fell for a minute.

"G-Gray is that true?"...

There wasn't a response but something wet dropped on your face.

'What is that?'

"Because of your cockiness Y/N almost died!What were you thinking Lyon!?"...

'Gray'

"Gray-"

"Shut up Lyon!"

'Gray,don't shout at him'

More wet things dropped onto your face.

"Guys this isn't the time to fight!Right now we should focus on Y/N!"...

'Juvia?'

"Where you going Gray?"

"I'll take a walk for a bit"

"Juvia will check if Wendy is here"

'So Wendy's coming here too?'

"Go ahead"

I opened my eyes,Natsu and Lyon looked at me.

"Y/N!"they shouted.

You covered your ears and they smiled sheepishly.You tried to sit up but an astounding amount of pain course through your body,you almost fell but Lyon caught you.

"T-thanks"you muttered.

"I'll get Gray"Natsu said.

You grabbed his wrist and he looked at you worriedly.

"I'm talking to Gray"you said.

They tried to stop you but you threatened to freeze them,even Natsu stopped talking.They helped you up and you shakily walked into the direction Gray took a walk to...
