Chapter forty-four- Freddies night

Warm summer day

Queen April Taylor's pov:

I was with my little family by the garden like a perfect picture, on a long furred blanket on the ground under a tree with a basket with food and my daughter in one hand and in her other, she had her toys, and she was now three years of age. I was admiring Hunter's face, he grinned at me in his response, He leaned up he was tall enough to reach the tree, the tree was quite close to us.  I saw my servant trying to come across to me"My lady, your mother requests that you and your sisters attend a meeting." "Now?" I questioned. "Yes, Ma'am." I turn back to Hunter  whos smiling at Jasmine "Jas mummies got to go to work."

My mother was in the upstairs corridor joined in by my older sister and Wendy. "What's going on mum?" Wendy asks "This is about your brother, we know his twenty-first birthday is upon us and it's the same day as the ball. Meaning he is old enough to marry, we know all the mothers in town will want to directer their direction to him to marry their oldest daughters. Pheobe questions "So you want us to defend them off to help him?" "That won't be necessary he is a man who needs to learn, but I do expect April to be there.  You should help the poor man if he requires help."

Prince Freddies Taylor's pov:

I was in the Knights' house with my cousin Luke and my brother-in-law's friends. They were aware of a ball and my upcoming birthday. The men would try getting me into parties and just having fun while I can. They introduced me to an older woman. Tomorrow was my birthday and the ball. It was to be the most elegant dream ad graceful experience for the royal

Freddies 21st birthday /ball 

I made my way through the House and made myself a  birthday drink, and made some food.  Once I was changed. I was summoned by my mother and the Queen, then to find my other two sisters already in the drawing room. My niece was in her nursery. 

My family gathered around a table seated, I sat among them with my mother glaring at me, "Freddie my dear do you know what today is?" I laughed to myself "My birthday?" She continued talking "And with a ball love." I raised my brows "O we wouldn't want to forget that now would we." I say grinning.  My mother grinned at me "You need to learn my love, it's going to help you. We want you to find the one. From a good family, this why your sister will be there to help you." 

I stood with April whispering to her "Sis, save me." She giggled "You'll live Fred."

The night begins, and the Ball

The rooms were done, flowers had arrived, and the rooms looked beautiful.  My mother pulled Pheoebe to the side to remind her she hadn't needed to stay with Cole, there were going to be as mum put it "more suitable men " here this evening. She nods and walks onto the dance floor, who knows if she will listen to her? 

My sister April the Queen never left my side, thank goodness mother wasn't here I don't think I would manage that.  I saw mothers, glaring at me with happiness. I knew I was in for it at that moment. I cleared my throat "I'm heading off to get some drinks." My sister was busy with a matter of hand so I took that as an escape.

I walked towards the bar and waited to be served then I just tapped the glass of the counter then someone appeared to take my order.  "Owh thank you," I say not realizing the woman in front of me. Her chestnut brown dark hair allured me in, and her smile was delightful and took hold of me. Then a moment later she vanished. I saw my sister April calling for me. I knew it was going to be a long night. But I knew I needed to meet that girl, the waitress.
