So It's been years since I and Rory were married since I still had that ring on my finger I told him I couldn't do this anymore, Of course, he argued the point but I told him plain and simple there was no love left there, so I took my ring off. The week went by and we declined the marriage certificate so I was a free woman. The only connection I had to him now was our son, and then I had told Cole about this and that I was free to date anyone.
I and Cole had started courting, and my family got told eventually to my surprise they allowed him into their circles, a time went on and then he proposed to me with Mikeal with us in Greece, I had to run this past Rory, of course, he couldn't deny Mikey. So we went, and I was engaged to be married. Then a month after we were, and We had our little joy I had a child with Colin, it was a daughter. We named her Lily Elizabeth Gordan Taylor.
Mikel loved her, the moment he laid eyes on his sister he knew he would protect her, be her night in shining armor if she ever was to ask him. The years went on and now Mikeal was twenty-five and Lily was only twenty.

It was a sunny day, me and my cousin Jasmine and my brother were up to no good, my father was away with my grandfather in Greece along with my mother, but Rory Miles was a stepfather of mine that whenever my parents wouldn't here he was to look after me and my brother. My godmother April told us three there was to be a ball for us to find a match. I would roll my eyes at that remark. Jas wanted to find a match, wanted the fairy tale prince from the stories my parents would remark on about their finding each other, the love story of Sir Collin and Princess Wendy.
But before the ball, I had been called my stepfather, he wasn't my actual stepfather but he treated me like his daughter, to his study room, and I made my way to it. I opened the door he wasn't alone. There was an older gentleman standing with him over a drink of Whiskey. "Owh yes, Lily darling come in. I looked up at him "Yes papa?" "I want you to meet someone." "This is James Adams." He was a tall lanky man, with dark black hair and devilish with a smile that could make me go weak at the knees. "A pleasure I'm sure." He chuckled "You're definitely your mother's daughter." Rory replies "That she is." Rory continues speaking "He is a fine gentleman, a duke if you will." I put my lips together to give him a nod "How lovely for your future bride I assume." I look back at the clock making my way "Darling where are you too?" "There's to be a ball in my brothers and I and cousin's honor, So I thought ill give it a shot. If I don't-." "Well, Adams will see you there." I raised my brows and was off.

After a few moments, I saw people gather together I was standing with Jasmine, I only thought of her as a second sister yet she was older than me by three years. She had previously gone away on a trip coming back with suitors. Knocking on doors for her, she wasn't ready, and she didn't find Mr. Right. I thought she was just picky. But finding an ideal match will be hard to find. She would always call it "I need that spark." I guess the girls just wanted to be living in a fairytale finding a strong man who could fit the bill. I hadn't come across any for either sister.
I had lost My sister in the crowd, I would surely find her somewhere. But we were surrounded by people, and couldn't tell who was who. I held on to Jasmine's hand and we strongly walked through looking for Lily, We entered a basement then found men surrounded by poker games, then I saw two or three men standing with a young lady talking. I looked again- Jasmine shouted in my ear "We found her." I just glared at Lily was a tutting sound came out of my mouth. I grabbed her elbow and moved her out of there. "Mikey!" She whaled "Do you think this is decent that a woman of our background should be left alone with three men? You are not married, till that day I will not be allowing this do you hear me, Since your father is not here. I as your elder brother am giving this much thought. Now leave, how do you think this looks on us? We have a reputation Lily and You will see fit to this ."

"Well, that was amusing to watch." "Not for me that wasn't." Lily chimed in to say. "You need to learn, you won't be left alone with a man till your father is returned." She turned to me and argued, "It was your father who introduced one of the men to me." "And who was that?" "James Adams." "Yeah your too young for him next, you and he will never work, and his not good enough for you." "Who are you to tell me who is and isn't good enough for me?" She questions Lily and asks her brother, "Why myself? As your elder, you will not be a match."
