I had a message from my mother there was to be a gathering at the Castle, I was to bring my new family down there. I feared that Benjamin would make an appearance and try and change my mind. To my mother's request, we were on our way in the carriage with my mother and father-in-law.  Once we got home, I quickly went to the place I called my solace, my piece of land, my garden that kept drinks. I found my cousins with their partners, my cousin Lizzie was with child. I eyed Mike "I need a drink." He agreed "Yes lets. Shall we, before this turns into a bore." I laughed at that then to my surprise I was little Annie walking through with flowers in her hand.

Mikeal muttered under his breath "My mother has kept her word and they were looked after." I nod. She gave up on me. "Mummy!"  I shut my eyes to my understanding she thought I was her mother, since I and her father were an item for some time, easy for her to think that. But that confuses matter now, doesn't it? Or it does for me, I should point out, she was now six years of age.

Jacob came across the garden followed by his family behind him. Then behind them stood Benny, and his family. I saw his eyes on me and they suggested I go back to our place to meet secretly,  I disappeared in the dark and went to our stop. I walked through the garden, through the trees, the lake, and the pond. I saw him standing there so still with a glass of brandy in his hand, I glanced at him "Do you think Sir this is fair?"  I continued "To do this to me?" He fires back "Do you think what you did me was any better Mrs. Vanderbelt?"  I tutted back "Don't be like that, how was I to raise a child I didn't have or-." He stopped me, "No but you loved her as your own so I don't understand that." "We can't change the past." He replied "No but we can fix the present." "What do you want from me, Ben?" He stood so close I smelt his perfume, I remembered him. "I-" He says but then my husband stood where Ben was interrupting us. "Jasmine? what's going on?" Jacob's harsh voice came through making me wonder how this will turn out.

Her eyes were around everywhere but  me, "This is Benjamin Adams someone I have a history with."  I looked and watched this man who looked like he  was just about to kiss my wife,  "I suggest you stay away from my wife or be at least five meters away from her." He looked annoyed "Sir I don't think this is your business"  I was about to hit something "You do realize she's my wife right?"  He nods in response "Yes I suppose but with this conversation, it has nothing to do with you, we share a child." I looked at her and then eyed Jasmine. "Jasmine explain!" She mutters "The child is not mine, it was his ex's she died during the birth of their daughter, but we were together once and the child grew attached to me thinking I'm her mother." "Jasmine let's be gone now." He demanded, "Very well." She bid him farewell and we were on our way.

We got to the lake then I stopped and placed my arm around hers "Jasmine that man is not coming in between us do you understand?" "Then Sir I suggest you spend more time with me because I craze attention and don't want to have to think this is not going anywhere, making me wonder if this-" I stopped her in the middle of what I was saying "Very well, I will do what you ask."  I said eyeing "I hope so. I want this to be a fairy tale that we tell our children." I nod and surprise her by taking her by my hand and I pulled her in, exploring her body, and her face, I embraced her.

I was with my sister walking through the castle we had Jasmine's extended family and close family i.e. mother and father and her cousins and her younger brothers Collin and Bart. Who were both younger than her, they were both age nineteen. They tagged along, with us. One of Jasmine's brothers fancied Pat. We came across a situation with my brother and his wife with another gentleman staring at each other it was entertaining to watch actually.

Benjamin Adams's pov :

I stood in the dance hall with everyone floating around,  I came to find my daughter with Jasmine in the corner of the room, how she was with her made me fall in love with her all over again

I stood in the dance hall with everyone floating around,  I came to find my daughter with Jasmine in the corner of the room, how she was with her made me fall in love with her all over again. What I hated about her being married to another man was, It was harder to forget me than it was for her to leave.  I  watched from afar then started walking to them, "Evening Jasmine, Annie."  They both smile in return "Hi Daddy" Annie replies and Jasmine just looks knowingly at me thinking back to the good times, the days of sun and fun. "Would it be devilish of me to ask to dance?" She grins and doesn't reply until "Ben, yeah I guess."

We waltzed for a while people stared, and at that second she realized I wasn't giving up on her.
