For a big family, we come with a punch, there's a lot of us and we don't all get on. Especially when some people do things that are not needed. Lies that bind.
I was left alone in my thoughts I imagined Colin's body with me touching me. I want him here but would he understand? would it be too much for him? should I just give in? or? I quietly got out of my daze when I heard a thump on the door I spoke "Enter." It was Robert I turned so he couldn't see my eye roll. "Demi I came here to talk, may we go for a walk." I sat on my bed thinking "If we must." We walked downstairs and found maids spying on us glaring at us with smirks. He led the way through my family garden and lake.
"We must understand the reasons for this alliance, Im sure we will be good together once we know each other." I couldn't say anything to that, he seemed nice but I was just thinking about Colin. wanting him here instead of Robert. "You're a stranger what do you expect of me?" He quickly replied, "You are going to be my wife." I stopped in my tracks and glanced up at his face "Robert I don't owe you anything this is from my father I didn't ask for this and neither did you." "Do we need to?" He fought back "We understand each other rules must be applied." I was tired of this "Well Robert we're not married yet." And with that, I left him in the garden.
Robert Wills Pov:
Like a gust of wind, she left I continued to walk trying to figure this out. I found Cain and Cornelius they saw it on my face. "Im guessing my sisters have been here ?" I grin "You could say." "How do you get through to her?" I asked my future brother-in-law. I look to the men for anything to help me "You guys should know what will help?" "She likes flowers." I look at them both "How will flowers help me in this?" Cornelius grinned and spoke gracefully "It's something to get her talking to you. Then you will blossom a firm understanding with each other Demis is very invested with this family so you will do wonders."
Demi Marie Taylor's pov:
I ended up back in the living room with a whisky I wasn't a fan but stranger things happened. I heard the living room door nearly slide open "Your grace." a maid said faintly "There is a gentleman waiting for you in the study room." I didn't want to hope. But to my surprise it was Colin. His face didn't look pleased "Demi why on earth did you not tell me who you were, did you think I couldn't handle it?" I shook my head "no of course not." "Then why lie to me?" I stood firm against a chair "I didn't want it to end, I went away for one reason only and that was to forget about them my family, yes I lied to you but better than then have you know Im-" He finished the sentence for me "A princess?" Maids were coming in and out I closed my eyes "Where is he?" Collins's firm voice came through. I didn't want to say but he did. "The husband." "I'm not married Collin." "But you are to be married off, wheres your father?" I shook my head pulling him away from the door "Collin please don't." He muttered in my ear "I only want to ask for your hand instead." He says with a smirk and pulls me behind the curtain.
"Collin," I say shyly He whispers in my ear again take me to your room. We made our way without anyone seeing us. I locked the door. "You make me feel some type of way." "The good kind I hope." I grinned like a Cheshire cat. I stopped myself after that looking at him it wasn't fair to him or Robert. "Collin You need to go, his here with my brother, I don't want them to find out yet. I will tell them about you but you must leave now before they find out."He looked like he understood the situation but didn't want to leave my side."Please go back to your cottage and be with your mother I'll get in touch with you somehow." "Till then my dear." He says leaving me with kisses.
