Chapter 32: The Truth has set us free.

Hey everyone, so I have been up and about working on this next chapter. needed some inspiration and finally I got some. So here you go and I hope you enjoy.

Blaze's POV:

     I needed to find out what was going on with Matt. I needed to see inside his mind, but how? he protects it well. No one has ever been able to get into Matt's mind especially without his permission. What can I do to get in and have a peek around? What will I see and will I like it? He's my best friend and I don't like thinking that he was hiding things from me. What am I saying? I sound like a damn girl, I sound like Keisha when she has  a bad morning. 

     I know that I want to find out and the best way is to ask him. But what if he doesn't tell me? How will I react to that? I mean I am his best friend and I should just be a good best friend and ask. I didn't realize I had spaced out so long until I felt a warm sensation on my left cheek that began to sting a little.

"Hey, BLAZE!" James had snapped me out of my little mind rant. "I'm sorry. what were you saying?" "oh you know... Nothing too crazy." James muttered clearly annoyed that I had not paid attention to what he was saying. "Does Matt seem a little off?" I looked James in the eyes trying to see if he knew something I didn't. "How so? Like is he cheating on Keisha?!" I looked at him more with a raised brow. What in the hell would make him think that? Like seriously.

    How does one put into words what he's feeling about his best friend? Some things just needed to find a way to solve itself. In this case, just as I started to pace the room I felt a warm tingle on my wrist. I looked down to see nothing so I just scratched at it, thinking it was just a tickle. Then it started to sting, those feelings kept happening on the same arm at least seven times before I started to feel it again on the right side, as soon as it ended I felt it on my thigh and my stomach. as soon as the last sting had stopped, I felt like I was being held underwater. That was when realization hit me, "MATE" my eyes widened in fear as I ran to our room.

    In a frantic state I was rushing in to the walk in closet not seeing her in there. Going toward the bathroom only to find the door locked, I started to bang on the door in urgency. "Cece!!, PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR." that minute felt like a lifetime so I broke the door off its hinges. The sight I was met with was one of dread and regret, my mate in a bath of bloody water. Her beautiful face pale with no sign of life and a very slow heartbeat barely audible with even my alpha hearing. Rushing to her side I grabbed her out of the water and watched the blood from her wrist, thigh and stomach spill. She still looked so beautiful. at the touch of our skin, she opened her beautiful eyes and looked at me, "I love you.!" then she closed her eyes as I kissed her sweet lips. Then her body fell limp and I couldn't stp the scream from leaving my mouth, as my mate lay dead in my arms.
