Chapter 19: what an eventful day!

Brads POV:

I have a niece... A niece... EJ has a daughter. Holy shit EJ has a daughter. How the hell did this happen? Cece seems to be taking things well but Blaze looks a little distracted. Maybe it was because of the phone call he had. An ex girl friend maybe? Better not be, my sister deserves to be happy and if any girl has a problem with that well screw them.

I went with them into the living room and sat on the ground still wrapping my head around the fact that I have this beautiful niece. I couldn't help myself wonder about Rosalinda, her beautiful hair and angelic face. I sound like a girl but who the hell cares right now. Trying to get my mind off her I saw that cammie was just looking at me, so I smiled at her.

Her face instantly brightened up, the same way Cece's does when she gets something she likes. I noticed that cammie had the same eyes and hair as EJ, showing no doubt that she is his daughter. I looked to EJ's face and saw the way it shined just having his little girl in his arms. I wanted that, I wanted that with Rosalinda.

"Uncle Bwad?" I heard a little voice say, I looked to see that it was cammie who had called to me.

"Yes cammie?" The moment I said the nickname I had decided to call her she smiled bigger.

"Can I sit on da floow with you?" She asked me looking back and forth from me and EJ. EJ gave a small nod so she looked straight at me.

"Come here cammie." I smiled at her as my arms were held wide open for her.

As soon as I did that gesture she bolted from EJ's arms and jumped into my open ones. Just as she jumped into my arms I closed it giving her a big hug, she just held on. She didn't seem to want to let go, so I held her and placed her on my lap and just played with her hair. I looked down at this little person in my lap, laughing and bouncing about.

She just seemed too innocent and I knew that I just wanted her to be safe. We may just have met her but I already knew that I wanted nothing but her safety. I just wondered who would be so cruel as to tell her child that she doesn't want her. But this girl is strong even at such a young age, she sees the good in people even if it's been tainted.

"Cammie?" I called to her, as I noticed that her breathing had evened out.

"Is she sleeping cece?" I asked her as I tried to lean over to see for myself.

"I'll take her to EJ's room,if you'd like." Cece said still sitting in Blazes lap.

"No it's fine, I'll take her up there." I told her as I started for the stairs to put her to bed.

"Oh and why is my friend Rosalinda asking about you?" Cece asked me with a raised eye brow.

Before I could stutter an answer or have anyone see my blush, I booked it to EJ's room. Is she really asking about me? I can't believe it MY mate is asking about ME! Wow I sound like some chick. I better go and shoot some pool to restore my man hood. I hope no one knows, that would seriously damage my rep. But I guess if it's for Rosie then my rep can damage itself.

Just as I kicked EJ's door open cammie stirred a little. That had me stop dead in my tracks for her to settle yet again. I released the breath I was holding and started to the bed again. I pushed his thin blanket back and placed her gently under it. Just as I was removing my arms from her she started to whimper.
