Hello readers.

You may or may not be aware of the news but Astro Moonbin has passed away yesterday... Only 25, he hasn't seen half of what life could give him but he's already gone... I was born the same year as him, in May so we were almost the same age, so young.

I wanted to do this post in his memory because I was once a huge fan of Astro and Moonbin was my bias so I feel very sad about what happened. I feel depressed even if I'm not that huge of a fan anymore so I can't even imagine how Aroha's and his close friends and family might be feeling.

I am currently at work and heard about the news 30 minutes ago. I couldn't believe it. It is so weird to imagine him being gone, it feels unreal.

Moobin was always smiling with one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen.

He was funny and his personality was so comforting to me. He was by bias because I felt that his personality was very close to mine so I related so much to what he was doing/saying.
He had a beautiful voice and was a very good dancer. I never thought he was suffering that much on the inside. So much that he could do what he did (if the suicide theory is confirmed). I can't even imagine how painful he was feeling to come to such end.

I am aware of the pressure and idol treatment in the Kpop industry but for me Astro was doing ok, I never saw any rumors or controversy about any of them so that is why I felt so shocked when I heard about Moonbin.

As people say, it is always the brightest smiles that hides the most pain.

I wish his family, friends, colleagues and members my deepest condolences and I hope he can rest in peace now.

I hope the situation of idols in the Kpop industry will improve so that idols won't ever go that far because of pressure or other inconvenience caused by their popularity. I know being a public figure is always hard but I think Korea is putting too much pressure on the idols and this is a real problem. I am not putting everyone on the same boat but some so called « fans » there are very harsh with their idols for literally the smallest things. I remember being so shocked when I heard about so called fans of Exo Chen burning their albums and merch while protesting in front of his agency because he was getting married and having a baby, like what the hell is wrong with them, I don't understand, it is so stupid to do that! They seem to forget that idols are humans too and they also feel pain. We already lost so many beautiful souls because of the same reasons every time that I don't even understand why things don't change.

But anyway, I am not here to debate about this.

I hope Aroha can go through this with strength and courage and I send all my love and support to them.

Please don't hesitate to share your thoughts here if you have anything to say (no harmful comments please). And please send your love and support to Aroha for their loss.

As a Stay and former Aroha I love you all and hope you are feeling alright 💜

As a side note:

Always talk about what you're going through with your loved ones or people who care about you. They might be able to help you. Taking your own life is never the answer to your pain, there is always a solution to your problems even if you don't see it now. So please never lose hope and be strong.

Love you all 🤍
Rest in Peace Moonbin 🤍🕊️
