The morning after the incident, inside the Imperial Palace, Syura stood in front of his father's office

"My son, you fool! The republic is an Ally, now those republicans are asking for the person responsible! " The pissed off father shouted at his son

"Remain calm, father, I can fix this-" The son was interrupted by his father's screams

"Fix ?! How? You ordered the execution of a Republic commander, and you killed off their representatives!"

"Furthermore, you indirectly caused the death of General Budo!"

The minister shouted in frustration as he stood up from his chair. It's hard to remain calm, since his weeks of scheming were derailed in just one night

"Then what can we do?" The son asked, finally realizing the amount of crap his in right now

"Well, I can't just turn you into the Republic ..." The minister paused his sentence for a moment, thinking of all the possibilities of a good ending. He used up all of his might, just for one idea, but no, it seems there's no way for his son to escape justice, except one

"I guess, we must speed up my plan, if we eliminate the Republic before they can properly respond, then all the territories the Republic took for themselves will be ours." The fat man concluded. His original plan was to wait for the dust to settle and backstab the Republic

Easy to say, Honest wasn't in the best mood, he doesn't like his plans interrupted, and by his son, of all people; however, since General Esdeath has returned to the capital, the minister has gotten a lot more confident

It's a gloomy day at the Republic senate, the seas of unending cities are covered by the heavy rainfall, the once brightly illuminated city is shadowed by clouds of thunder

The senators gathered in their assigned positions, anxiously awaiting the chancellor's arrival. Some were filled with hate, some were still confused, unable to comprehend the reality of war against they're own ally. Shame was felt by those who supported the clones' involvement in the war

The chatter concluded when the man they had been waiting for finally came, ascending to the center like he always had, donning the crimson rope, the Chancellor stood by his spot, using silence to create suspense

"I regret to inform the death of Representative Onaconda Farr. We held the Empire responsible for this tragedy, and we will not tolerate this act of injustice and savagery." The old man made his announcement to the public, as the camera crew went live, broadcasting the event as it went on

Back on the Northern Stronghold, the clones of the 501st tuned in for the big announcement, doubts of the Empire's morality surfaced, and their mask had already begun to shatter

"We will not rest until justice has been brought upon this land of barbarians." The Chancellor proudly announced, as he foresaw the events all playing out just as he expected, giving him the justification needed for a bigger invasion

"We'll bring the perpetrator responsible for this act, at all costs!"

As the man continues to make his speech, the senators act as usual, listening to their leader like the submissive dogs they always have been

"We have concluded all of these attacks against the Republic under one man, it's no other than Prime Minister Honest."

"His act of deception will not go unnoticed, for we, the Republic, will stop for nothing in pursuit of justice."
