"Were you really kissing the hottest boy in the school, Jake?" Lilly asked wide-eyed. Sam had went to help Mom set up.
"It was small kiss. And I was just giving him something he'll never get again. No biggie!" I say, shrugging.
Lilly threw her hands, exasperated. "No biggie! You KISSED the hottest boy in the school. Sara will be mad. I saw her eyeing Jake." Sara was the 'queen bee' of the school.
"Look, it's my birthday, and I don't want to talk about it, ok?" I say looking her straight in the eyes, to show her I'm serious. She nodded. It's been hours and only 20 people showed up. I made my mom stay upstairs in her room, so I could have a great time. There was no alcohol, so the party was in control. Sam was the DJ, playing songs no one knows. I was getting a drink in the kitchen, when Jake walked up behind me and grabbed my waist. I jumped, clearly startled.
"Ugh, it's you. What do you want?" I crossing my arms.
"I just want to show you I changed." He says, stepping towards me. I backed away.
"What is with you? Why me?" I ask.
"Because you're special, to me anyway." He says, looking down. I'm pretty sure I was blushing, because I could feel it.
"Well, I want nothing to do with you." I say in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Well, that's too bad." He says. When he says that he steps towards me and brushes his hand on my cheek and walks out. I could feel I was blushing, but chose to ignore it. Two hours later, everyone left except, Sam, Jake, and a guy named Daniel, who has black hair, green eyes, and full lips. I never would say this but I LOVE people with full lips.
The music stopped so I started singing Almost is Never Enough by Ariana Grande to myself. Daniel noticed.
"Hey, my name's Daniel. Can you do me a favor and sing Ariana's part as I play your piano." He said, his green eyes gazing deeply in mine. I nodded. We got up and walked across the room to my grand piano. He started the song and I started to sing. Immediately, every head turned towards us. We sang so beautifully together. I love singing and I love a man who can sing.
"Damn! Megan can sing!" Jake exclaimed. I rolled my eyes, but kept singing. When we were done we were given a light applause.
"You did good Meg." Sam says, hugging me. He just nods to Daniel.
"I'd like to do that again. He's my number." Says Daniel, as he hands me his number and walks outside to his ride.
All I could think about after he left, was him.

Later that week, I've been out with Daniel 3 times already, so we were at our first kiss. In school, I can tell that Jake's jealous. I keep going out with Daniel just to annoy him. Then, and I don't know how, I got into a physical fight with Jake.
