"Where are the boys?" Amanda asked, glancing between Cleo and Lia.

"Econ," The two answered at the same time.

"Lame, how are we going to know if they're safe?" She asked with a sigh.

"Unfortunately we won't until Econ gets out," Lia said, lifting her hand to the apartment door.

After knocking three times, it quickly opened to reveal Tatum on the other side. "Hey guys," She said, scooting over to let them in.

"Finally! Now that the group's all here I feel so much better," Tara spoke. She grabbed Lia's bag, "You're staying in my room tonight. Amanda will be with Tatum, and Cleo will be out here with Anika, Mindy, and Chad."

"And whenever Ozzie and Ethan get here, we'll figure something out." Sam flipped her phone around in her hand. "It's a bit of a squeeze, but I personally feel better knowing we're all here together and that nobody's separated."

"Although at the same time, we could be locking ourselves in with the killer." Mindy sent a smug smirk to the older Carpenter sister, reaching a hand out to help Amanda with her bags.

Lia took a spot at the table next to Sam at the table, putting her phone down on the hardwood. Sam just sent her a glance, making sure none of the others were listening before speaking up.

"Have you had a chance to talk to Jonah?" From the look on her face at the boy's name, she knew that the answer wasn't going to be any good.

"No. Jenny's got him under this tight leash. He texted me the other day, but that's it." Lia unlocked her phone. She pulled up the last few messages with the Bennett twin, sliding the phone over to Sam.

Sam read the text over, a frown covering her features as she slid the phone back to Lia. "He's just grieving, he'll come around."

"He liked to act like he didn't like Joshua, but that's who he spent all his time with." Lia shook her head. It grew silent, Sam knowing there was no point in saying anything. Lia then took in a sharp breath, glancing at Sam again. "When... when you went through this last year, did you lose someone you were close to?"

Sam lightly winced at the question, not expecting it. She thought about it for a moment before replying. "My boyfriend, but it's different because he was the killer." She admitted, "I wasn't really close with any of them. I babysat Wes, his mom didn't really like me, and Dewey helped us with what he could. He saved our lives, I guess. But I wasn't close to them the way the others were."

Lia nodded, "Out of all the people in our friend group, I think I talked to Joshua the least. He was closest to Cleo and Jonah. When I see Cleo coping just fine, I start to wonder why I'm struggling to get through it as much as I am."
