My muscles seemed to ache as I regained consciousness. I slowly stir and lift up my head, finding myself tied up in a small room. No. No no no not this again. I can't be stuck again.

I started to struggle against the rope that tied my arms and legs together. Not a problem, I can just form into a small creature. I close my eyes and try to focus on something small, but nothing happens. It seems like I'm still too weak to use my quirk, but this feeling of being powerless is- different.

"Damn." I look around at my surroundings to try to find anything to cut my rope, but fail. I was in a room with absolutely nothing, but a singular door that stood in front of me, and a singular light that flickers above my head.

My arms, legs, and torso seemed to be tied up to a rotten looking wooden chair. I look at how tight the ropes are, only to notice that my arms were clean from any wounds. It was as if Dabi didn't burn me alive. Did someone heal me? I had no time to think about where I was or why I was feeling the way I was feeling. The only thing that is on my mind is to get out of this damn place.

"Ahh, I see you're awake." I hear a voice call out from behind the door.

I look up and make eye contact with the same guy who held the gun to me. He had shaggy gray hair that hung in front of his face. His circular glasses shimmer in the light from the lantern as he stares me down.

"How are you feeling, Akai?" He asks, shutting the door behind him.

"How do you know my name?" I struggle more against my restraints, only for nothing to budge.

"Let's just say I know a few people here and there. I tend to be someone that people go to when they want to make a change in this world." He flicks a lighter and places the flame on the cigarette that sat in his mouth, his smirk showing off the singular tooth that seemed to be missing.

He looks back up at me and leans against the wall, and crosses his arms. "By all means, I'm not what you would call a 'big boss'. I'm more like the underdog for the big boss."

"What, is that supposed to impress me?" I chuckle.

"Oh no, not at all," he laughs. "I'm simply just explaining my profession."

"Why are you wasting your time talking to me? I figured I'd be dead by now. Are you not upset about me attacking your friend?" I try to be as quiet as I can, moving my ankles around until I start to feel the rope loosen from the leg of the chair.

"Oh no, Dabi and I aren't friends. We were actually just talking business. Now you, on the other hand, had me interested."

"How so?" I continue to loosen the rope.

"When you went to attack Dabi, you went for the kill. You were even fine with ending your own life in order to end his," he takes a drag of smoke and blows it out into the air. "The reaction you had to being called a hero also interested me. Tell me, what do you think of yourself as?"

I look down to the floor and ponder the question. I don't think I ever thought of what I want to be, I never had the say to choose. "I don't think of myself as anything."

"Of course, you're too busy thinking for Zankuko, am I right?" My eyes widen the second he brings up his name.

He seemed to notice my reaction and started to chuckle. "Don't be surprised, how else do you think I know your name? I don't think you noticed this, but you have quite a repetition here in Shinjuku. But you're good at hiding your identity, and people can't figure out exactly what kind of quirk is killing all these random people. Frankly, I know your boss, and thanks to last night, I was able to put two and two together and figure out who you are."
