A tempting bet

Sorry, guys I have posted for a month now. The weeks have been so stressful but I am back with more content.

I wondered what the fuck this guy wanted. First, he backed me into a corner. I was so embarrassed. Then he watched me like a hawk. I tried to ignore him, but he was persistent like a noisy fly. Today I saw him playing basketball. Sure, he was talented. But I am 100% sure that it was just all a show. For everybody, especially when he saw me in the crowd. Now he is here saying, "Why are you ignoring me?" Shut the fuck up! I want to scream so badly. I'm like, Why are you interested in me? There are so many fish in the sea and so many girls who would kill to have you. I was so angry and frustrated with him bothering me every day.

But when I looked at him, his dark golden eyes stared deeply into my soul. Those eyes were so mesmerizing that I could not look away. How could a person's eyes be so beautiful and mesmerizing? I wondered. I need to stop thinking such things about him! But I could not get his eyes off my mind. It was almost like they were enchanting me. Remember, he is a stupid, rich kid who is a shameless flirt. So many words could describe how I felt about him.

"I would love to see you try it. You know you are so peculiar and different from the rest. And this dark energy you carry around is only pulling me closer." I tried to remain calm. I can't let him get under my skin. I never thought you would be this shameless. I was thinking maybe you would back off."

"I see you as a challenge, and I love a challenge." He had a charming smirk on his face. Xiao's words infuriated me to no end. How could I possibly be a 'challenge' to him? He was playing a game with me. He must have done this to too many girls before. I resisted his game. Then moved closer to me and whispered in my ear.

"If only you were an obedient little pet, darling." My eyes widened at his sudden closure. A shiver ran down my spine as his warm breath touched my neck. His penetrating gaze pierced me, and my heart skipped a beat. His gaze was so hypnotic that I felt as though I could get lost in the depths of his eyes. He was so close to me, and it was like I was in a trance. I could not even think about speaking. I was just frozen in place. He saw this, and his smirk slowly turned into a full-fledged grin. I quickly got out of this trance and stood my ground.

"What would you do with me as your pet? I will follow your every move like a loyal puppy. I will be your cute and obedient little cat, or maybe I can be a lovely songbird to worship you?"

Xiao laughed at my comment, and his smirk turned into a wide grin. "Oh, you're so adorable when riled up!"

"Well, I guess I would do whatever I wanted with you." I teased as I stepped closer to Xiao. "Maybe I'll keep you in my lap like a cute little cat," I smirked as my hand gently brushed against his cheek. "Or maybe I'll make you worship me and show your devotion with your every move. What do you think?" I was putting all my feelings aside and standing up to him. Two can play this game. That means never letting my guard down.

"Darling, you are playing a dangerous game." His eyes glowed with dark intent. He looked like a crazy psychopath who cut you off with his words. Unfortunately, he met me, the craziest of them all. I was testing the dominance of an alpha, or so-called alpha. I should say no one was more proud except him. Anyway, I got bored with his games, flirting, and attitude. You know, those were out of style and not to my liking. Add a little spice to your seasoning.

I looked at Xiao ambitiously and said, "How about a little bet, Xiao? How about a friendly competition between us? Whoever can ignore the other for a week is the winner."

Xiao smiled, and his dark eyes glowed with excitement again. "A bet? Oh, then I'm in—if I win, however." I paused as I looked straight into Xiao's eyes. "If I win you, you will forever avoid my path."
