A week later

It was my first day of work. I woke up bright and early, feeling quite nervous. I dropped Matthew off at school before heading to the office. As I walked into the office building, I was struck by the sleek, modern design and bustling energy. The receptionist greets me with a warm smile.

"Morning, Y/N; you have a meeting with Mr. Kamisato at 9:00 AM," she says. I thank her and head towards the elevator, taking a moment to admire the stunning view of the city skyline as the elevator ascends to the top floor. As I made my way toward Mr. Kamisato's office, I made a stop to get his coffee order from the break room. The aroma of brewed coffee fills the air as I approach the break room. I grab a mug and measure out the perfect amount of coffee. I then add a touch of cream and sugar, just the way he likes it, before leaving the break room with the steaming cup in hand, ready to start the meeting on a perfect note.

I approached the door of Mr. Kamisato's office and knocked before entering. His tired expression turned into a smile when he saw the coffee. "Ah, just what I needed," he said, taking the cup from me.

"You're most welcome, sir," I replied with a smile. He leaned back in his chair and took a sip of his coffee. "Please have a seat," he said, motioning towards the chair in front of his desk.

I thanked him and settled into the chair, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement.

I glanced around, taking in the organized shelves of books and the framed certificates adorning the walls, each one a testament to Mr. Kamisato's expertise and success.

He opened a drawer on his desk and pulled out a folder, placing it in front of me. As he flipped it open, I couldn't help but notice the meticulousness with which he had prepared for our meeting. The documents inside were labeled and organized, a simple reflection of his attention to detail.

I expect weekly progress reports and regular updates so we can address any challenges or roadblocks that may arise. I nodded and tried to hold on to my amazement as I looked over the documents in front of me. What an enormous responsibility! With Mr. Kamisato's full faith and trust in me, I knew I could not fail. "Thank you for this opportunity, sir," I replied, my voice quavering slightly. "I assure you, I will do my best and deliver outstanding results within the deadline." I leaned back in my chair, feeling somewhat overwhelmed by the task ahead, but determined to prove myself.

"You may leave now and begin working on the project immediately," Mr. Kamisato said with a nod of approval.

As I left Mr. Kamisato's office, a surge of adrenaline coursed through my veins. The weight of the task ahead settled on my shoulders, but I was determined to prove myself.
