This will be the last chapter before we head into the main plot. From here things are about to get spicy.

Y/n POV

As the day went on, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. I noticed him purposely ignoring me, but it made me feel uneasy. Despite my efforts to stay focused on the group project, my mind kept wandering to the possibilities of his real purpose.

We were supposed to have group work that day, so there must be something else he was after. A sigh escaped my lips. Maybe I was just overthinking stuff and being too judgmental. Those impeded thoughts clustered in my mind all day and made me have no appetite to eat.

Until a sudden touch brought me back to reality, and I flinched. It was Yoimiya who had brought me lunch.
"What's gotten you so worked up?" She says it with a concerned face. My heart almost pumped out of my chest. She scared the bejesus out of me.

I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself. "Oh, it's nothing," I said with a forced smile. "Just some things on my mind." Yoimiya gave me a skeptical look but didn't press further. Instead, she sat down next to me and started unpacking the lunch she had brought. The aroma of freshly cooked food filled my nostrils, and my stomach grumbled in response. I realized how hungry I actually was and started digging into the food.

As I ate, Yoimiya started talking about her day and all the interesting things she had discovered about herself. My mind goes back to the first time I met him. The feeling of his hot breath on my skin, how his dark eyes pierced into my soul, and his shameless words that made my knees weak All these thoughts made me feel flustered.

"Hello, Y/n! Are you here? You space out again." She asked, waving her hand to catch my attention. I quickly broke away from my thoughts.
"Sorry, Yoimiya," I say with a sheepish smile. "I was just lost in thought for a moment there.

"You seem a little distracted; care to share your thoughts?" Yoimiya looks at me with a curious expression on her face.
I hesitate for a moment, unsure if I want to share what's been on my mind lately. If she ever knew what I was thinking, she would probably hit my head with a baseball bat.
But Yoimiya has always been a good listener and a trustworthy friend. So I take a deep breath and decide to open up to her. But before I could say anything, the friend group interrupted me. Feeling a twinge of annoyance at the interruption. But I remind myself to stay calm and composed.

"Yoimiya, Yn!" Amber, Nilou, and Collei shouted from across the room, running like wild dogs were chasing after them.
I turn to see what the commotion is about and see Yoimiya's friends approaching us with excitement on their faces.

"What's all this commotion about?" Yoimiya questioned.
I take a step back, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sudden attention. Amber, Nilou, and Collei all start talking at once, trying to explain the reason for their excitement.

"Slow down; one of you speaks." She says she is trying to regain control of the situation. Amber takes a deep breath and begins to explain that they have just received news that the football captain, Austin, is having a party tonight.

Yoimiya's eyes light up at the mention of a party. "Oh, I'm definitely going," she says with a grin. Amber nods eagerly. "That's what we thought, and we wanted to make sure you knew about it too." Nilou chimes in, "It's going to be a huge party; everyone's going to be there." Collei adds, "And we need to start getting ready now if we want to look our best." Yoimiya laughs and nods in agreement, saying, "Okay, let's do this. I can't wait!"

The group quickly got up and turned to notice I hadn't moved an inch. "Oh, sorry. Are you coming with us?" Amber asks, turning back to me. "We'll have so much fun together!" Collei adds, "And we'll make sure you look amazing too." Yoimiya winks and says, "Trust us, we know how to party."
