27-Say you won't let go✯

JUST SAY YOU WON'T LET GO

Jaden POV:

"How's the throat?"I ask as I step inside her room with an extra cup of tea, for her to drink later.

"Better."her voice cracks. She's so weak and it makes my heart break. Hearing her voice, which is mostly strong and confident , now so gentle and tiny makes me want to wrap my arms around her and just hold her for as long as I can. Or maybe never let go of her.

But right now I can't. She still hates me and I really can't blame her. I was in the wrong. I shouldn't have agreed on doing this. Even though what I did was fucked up, I realized my mistake. I never wanted to hurt her. Never. It's just that, at first I didn't really care about her and being offered that amount of money wasn't bad at all. I couldn't refuse. Imagine being offered a big amount of money to look after someone who you don't care about. To me, that was such an easy and somehow also stupid way to earn money.

Because of this deal, I fell in love with her. But because of this deal, I also lost her. She vanished away. She vanished into my brothers arms.

I just wanted to be better than Javon for once. Nevertheless, I still ended up being the bad guy. The worthless twin. Summing it up: I still ended up being the black sheep.

Y/N says Javons the one she fell for first. I say I'm the one she fell for hardest. She just needs a little more time to realize that. At least I hope so. Because I'm not ready to lose her. Not in a romantic way, not in a friendly way and most definitely not in an enemy-ish way.

I want her to stay.

And now that I'm dwelling on it so much, she might not be able to and because I love her, I'm going to let her go. Eventually.

"I'm sorry you feel like shit."I say as I sit down on the end of the bed.

"It happ- I gues-"she stutters.

"Hey, maybe it's better if you don't talk for a bit, you know to relax your vocal strings."I smile at her.

The smile is not returned, instead she purses her lips and drinks a little bit of tea.

"Okay...do you wanna watch TV?"I ask sitting down on the chair next to the bed.

She shakes her head no and I nod.

"Do you want to.. read a book? I can go get you one."

Again she shakes her no and again I nod.

"Do you want me to leave?"I ask knowing the answer deep inside of me.

This time she nods and without hesitating and I walk to the door.

"W-wait"she stops me.

"You aren't going back to yours, are you?"she asks before coughing a couple of times.

"No I was just planning on staying in the living room and checking on you a couple of times."I stare at her.

And since she's not saying anything I walk out and while doing it I hear her voice mutter one more word.

'Good'

"Come on Y/N take it.." I plead as I'm trying to make her swallow the pill in her hand.

"I can't."she says.

"I called the doctor. He said to give you some paracetamol and if the fever doesn't calm down over night then" I show her the box of pills and shake it. "Ibuprofen."

"But I really can't take it Jaden. I've never been able to. This pill is too big and I won't be able to swallow it. Which means  that it'll start melting in my mouth and I'll taste the awfulness of the pill."she makes puppy eyes and I can't help but smile.

"Okay wait, I'll be back."

I go downstairs to the kitchen and take out a pretty big knife to cut the pill in four pieces.

Now they're tiny and she won't have any problem swallowing it.

I enter her room and notice how Y/Ns swiping through Netflix shows.

"You should watch Peaky blinders"I recommend "I finished it the day you came to mine to play the guitar."

She turns her head and looks at me .

"It's a really good show." I mutter.

She nods before sitting up to take the pills.

"I cut the pill so you won't have any problem swallowing it."

"Also, if the pill indeed does melt on your tongue because you weren't able to swallow it, I have some strawberries here for you. You know to clear out the bad taste."

"Thank you." she smiles at me before taking the first piece and putting it into her mouth.

The glass in her hands reaches her lips and some water drips down her chin.

I go and wipe it off once she's swallowed it.

"Good girl. Now the next one."

After having taken all the pills without any problems I say: "You did it!"

"I did!"she whisper shouts back.

I go to her and hug her. The scent of her hair filling my nostrils. I've missed this.

"Now you're gonna be sick too." she whispers in my ear while still holding onto me.

"I couldn't care less."I whisper back.

I pull away and take the strawberries, before hopping on the bad next to her.

"Well whose ready to watch peaky blinders?"
