After ditching Joshua's little 'get together' on Wednesday, and then spending the whole day at the beach yesterday with my friends and ignoring all of Joshua's calls, I had Nancy call him and tell him not to bother giving me a ride this morning. I just really didn't want to talk to him after his little performance with Shantel two days ago.

But onto to better things: today is my birthday! I'm finally seventeen. I'm so mad that Joshua picks to have this little reaction near my birthday. But there is nothing Joshua can say or do that will affect my birthday. Well this morning, I'm driving myself. I haven't ridden my car to school in a long while. I can't wait to find a parking spot! It's kind of nerdy, but what the hell?

My car is so beautiful I and love it so much. It's not really a car that most teens drive but it's a beauty. I got it last year for my sixteenth birthday. It's a black Almera Range Rover Sport with red brown leather seats and a killer stereo system. Well I just got some really cool speakers for it, but I don't really use them unless I'm with my friends.

As I parked my car and got ready to turn it off, I see something very interesting. Joshua and Shantel coming out of his car holding hands. What the hell? I mean, I know Joshua and I are mad at each other, but he's still my boyfriend. This bitch is just asking for a beat down. As they neared my car, I try not to stare. So I pulled out my phone, and pretended I was texting.

When they were out of sight, I jumped out my car and sped to my locker where my girls were waiting for me with a not-so-good look on their face. We have about five minutes till the bell rings, so we don't have much time.

"What's up you guys?" I ask while opening my locker.

"Haven't you heard?" Chrissy blurted out. I shook my head very uninterested in their story.

"Everyone's saying that Joshua dumped you for Shantel." Mary said without hesitation.

Before we can say another word, Joshua, Shantel, her drones and our boys walk down the hall passing us straight. All eyes were on them. Shantel looked back at me and winked, then put her arm around Joshua's waist. What the hell?

Just because I had a bloody hand and he and his friends are afraid of blood, he and our boys are ditching us for Shantel and her drones. What, do they think she has no blood? I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. How did we go from a happy in love couple to this?

We only had a few minutes left before the bell, but I just wanted to go to class and rest my head on my desk till the teacher comes. So without saying anything, I walked off to class alone.

It's finally lunch time; I'm not really hungry because I had a bag of potato chips at break. I just bought a sandwich and juice, and went to sit at our table. My girls were all there and Shantel and her crew sat at their table right behind us. The boys aren't here as yet, so we were all alone.

"We didn't get a chance to tell you happy birthday Dawn, so happy birthday! From all of us," Chrissy said giving me a small box. I really didn't feel like opening presents, so I just pushed it in my bag. Mary, noticing how bumbed out I am, opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it again as she stared at the table behind us.

When I turned around to see what she was staring at, I just thought 'oh my God'. The boys ditched us to have lunch with Shantel and her crew, the same boys who were praising us (except Joshua) for almost giving Shantel a beat down. When I examined the table carefully, I noticed Shantel playing in Joshua's hair. This bitch is just asking for a beat down. As I turned around to face my crew and my lunch, it took every bone in my body to stop me from getting up and giving this bitch a beat down.
