"His last words to me were 'vampires don't die easily Dawnique, but there's always a way for a vampire to die'" I said to the crowd which I stood in in front of.

It was two day since Joshua death and I stand here today in front of the vampire council, the boys, Joshua brother Josiah and Josiah's girlfriend, Kayla. We were in the Martin's back yard garden.

The council decided to have a small memorial service for Joshua, because he was innocent. I didn't even know they had a vampire council. Anyway, Shantel, Shanell and all the creatures we fought with were banished to a place called the outlands of the earth by the immortal government. Again, I did not know there was a place called the outlands of the earth and I didn't know they had a government for all immortal creatures.

Joshua's family wasn't invited because they didn't know he was a vampire. His parents went on a trip to Hawaii and won't be back until next spring, so we plan to tell them that Joshua is in a music programme in New York for three months, and then fake his death the day before he is supposed to come back and stuff will work on from there.

It's the middle of November and Christmas is near, Joshua and I almost made it three years. I can't help thinking this is all my fault.

Everyone was teary eyed as I continued to speak. "Will our time ever come? Will we ever reunite with... this friend of ours?" I said my voice cracking.

"Well this is a lesson to all of us, live each day like it's your last. You only live once on this earth, whether you're mortal or immortal," I finished. Everyone started to clap as I ended my speech.

The leader of the council got up and said a few words and then dismissed everyone. Josiah came over to me and hugged me and said,

"It's gonna be alright Dawn." I started to cry more.

"I just can't believe he's gone," I cried. He hugged me tighter. "Are you coming to cemetery for the burial?" he asked. I nodded; of course I had to go watch my boyfriend get buried.

My name is Dawnique Marshall. This is my story, of love, betrayal and heartbreak. You're maybe accustomed to stories having a happy ending, but my story was anything but happy.

But this ain't over; whether she's banished or not, Shantel's going to regret living if I ever find her. But don't worry; I have eternity to find her. After all, this is only the beginning of forever.
